If you read my post on the June Glossybox, you’ll know that I really wasn’t a fan so I was intrigued to see what they’d pull out of the bag (literally) for July.. and it really is a good one. The theme for the Glossybox July 2015 box is ‘Vive La France’, and the box features stunning illustrations by Jamie Lee Reardin and the box really is stunning, and is definitely my favourite Glossybox design so far.
Inside the box, the products for this month are packaged within a Glossybox branded plastic travel pouch which again features the beautiful illustration which is on the base of the box. The pouch is one of the products for this months box which might not please everyone, but I do think it’s a really nice pouch and it fits the theme nicely.
First up is a 15ml pot of the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream (worth £5.40). Vichy is one of my favourite skincare brands, and I happen to love this moisturiser after getting a sample of it in the British Beauty Blogger Dream Box 2, and purchased the full size.
There are two types of this moisturiser; a light version and a rich version, and this is the lighter version which has a gel-cream consistency. Even though this is a lightweight moisturiser, it still does a great job at hydrating my skin and it smells divine too.
There is just one full size product inside the Glossybox July 2015 box, and this is it.. the Lollipops Lip Balm Dèlicieuse (worth £4.15). This is described as a rich and creamy lipbalm which soothes and softens the lips, with antioxidants and vitamin E and it also protects the lips against UV damage too.
It’s quite a thick balm, which reminds me of the consistency of Lanolips.. and it has a subtle sweet scent. It does leave the lips feeling a little greasy due to its thickness so it wouldn’t be ideal for wearing under lipsticks but it would work well as a lipbalm to apply before bed to work its magic whilst you sleep.
The next product in the Glossybox July 2015 box is the Teoxane Cosmeceuticals Perfect Skin Refiner 15ml (worth £14.34), which is a brand I’ve never come across before. This cream contains hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate the skin, whilst 10% glycolic acid helps to resurface the skin and is recommended to be used every other night.
After fifteen days use, the complexion is said to be more even and brighter, with pores being more refined and pigmentation spots are corrected. I really like that this tube has a pump on it, and the cream is incredibly rich and thick, and it feels amazing as you smooth it over the skin.
It is the kind of cream you need to smooth into the skin, as it does begin to roll up if you massage it in. This is my favourite item from the box, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the results are like as it sounds impressive.
The last product inside the Glossybox July 2015 box is a 25ml sample of the Noxidoxi Enhancing Serum Base (worth £20.75). This cream is said to offer complete hydration, it tightens pores and is an antioxidant shield if you smoke or are exposed to pollution. I live in quite a rural area, and I don’t smoke so this isn’t really a product I’ll use.
I really don’t know why Glossybox included three face creams this month, in a box of only four products.. I think it might disgruntle quite a few customers as it does feel a little excessive but I do like the Vichy Aqualia Light and the Teoxane Perfect Skin Refiner so all is not lost..
