The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder Review and Swatches

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder is a product I’ve seen feature in endless monthly favourite posts and videos, so I decided I needed to purchase it and see what all the fuss was about. The Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder is available in six shades which is so impressive.. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bronzer in so many shades before, and I bought the palest shade 01 Light Matte.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder Review

The Body Shop’s makeup range is a touch on the pricey side to be completely honest with this bronzer being £13, however they always have some sort of promotion or discount available – infact I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price for anything from their website or instore due to their constant offers.

The bronzer is packaged within a brown, translucent compact with an adorable hexagonal honeycomb design on the lid which I love, although they have recently changed the packaging since I bought mine. The compact is quite sleek, compact and light, with an handy little mirror inside the lid.

The hexagonal design on the lid continues inside the bronzer, with the powder being embossed with an amazing honeycomb design which fits the Honey Bronze theme perfectly.

The powder doesn’t have a scent which might sound like a strange thing to comment on, but I just assumed it would have a subtle honey scent like the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer smells of chocolate, but alas it is completely fragrance free.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder Review

Shade wise, the The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in Light Matte is the palest matte bronzer I’ve seen which makes me very happy, especially as it doesn’t lean too warm in tone. The texture is really lovely, with a soft and almost creamy consistency which blends into the skin seamlessly for the most natural glow.

I think you could perhaps get away with using this shade as a contour if you’re super pale like me, but for my personal preference I find it to be a little too warm for contouring. I enjoy applying the The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder with my Real Techniques Blush Brush, and the subtle bronze effect makes my skin look so healthy, and I cannot recommend this shade enough if you’re very pale as it really is the perfect bronzer for pale skin.
