Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate

The Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a product which has been on my skincare wishlist for such a long time, so I was excited to finally be able to try it. Kiehls is such a sought after brand, but I’ve actually never tried any of their products before so this is my very first Kiehls product. The Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate 30ml £36 is described as being a replenishing elixir or pure essential oils and distilled botanicals to visibly restore the appearance of skin by the morning. 

The Concentrate is enriched with a blend of 99.8% naturally derived ingredients including squalane, evening primrose oil, omega-6 fatty acids and essential oils including lavender.

To use the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate, you simply use 2-3 drops onto cleansed skin, by pressing fingertips onto the cheeks, forehead and chin by evenly distributing the oil before gently massaging it into the skin to work its magic whilst you sleep.

The formula instantly penetrates the skins surface to help replenish it with moisture, leave it feeling softer and smoother and more radiant. The bottle itself is glass with a handy dropper, which I use to drop the oil onto the back of my hand to then apply to my face.

I really like the dropper as it dispenses the perfect amount of product, without dispensing too much and I’ve even used it to mix with moisturiser for when my skin is feeling particularly dry.

The oil has quite a lightweight consistency than I expected, as I imagined it’d be quite rich but it’s lovely and light on the skin and it doesn’t feel at all greasy. The oil has quite a strong lavender scent, which is to be expected considering the high content of essential oils.

I personally don’t mind lavender, but I know it’s a deal breaker for some but the scent does disappear after around half an hour, but I find lavender to be so relaxing so it makes sense that they’d include it in a product you apply at night time.

I’ve read about how amazing this product out, but I was seriously blown away the first time I used it as it really did make a massive improvement in just one use. My skin looks so much clearer, with my acne scarring being a lot less noticeable in only a week and my skin is definitely more radiant.

Not only does it make my skin lovely, it has really helped to reduce my dryness so I’m definitely going to be using it throughout Autumn and Winter to keep my skin in check.. I really can understand the hype, and I think any skin type would appreciate its benefits.
