Ole Henriksen‘s products are often raved about in the beauty world, but if you’re new to the brand, it can be a little overwhelming as they have so many different products and ranges, so the Ole Henriksen Three Little Wonders Mini Gift Set is the perfect introduction into the brand.
The Three Little Wonders Mini Gift Set contains three deluxe samples of their products; a 9.76ml sample of the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster (worth £6.22), a 7ml sample of the Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Treatment (worth £7.84) and a 7ml sample of the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation (worth £7.44) making the Ole Henriksen Three Little Wonders Mini Gift Set worth £21.50 yet it’s priced at £18 so you are making a saving.
I think the sizes in this set are ideal, as they give you enough for a minimum of seven days use so you’ll be able to fully test the three products out to see if you’d want to purchase the full size.
The Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster contains five potent forms of vitamin C which work within the serum to correct dark spots, uneven skin tone and dullness to lighten and tighten the skin. The Serum is packed with powerful antioxidants and is described as being a daily vitamin for your skin; boosting collagen production and keeping your skin nourished and protected.
Not only will the serum nourish and protect the skin from external aggressors, grapefruit and orange extract work to purify the skin, green tea protects the skin, whilst rosehip extract strengthens and sodium hyaluronate binds moisture to the skin.
It’s definitely an impressive serum on paper, and was the product I was most looking forward to trying within the gift set. I love the orange bottle, and orange coloured fluid as it just looks fresh and as if it’s packed with vitamin C. It’s described as being a daytime anti-aging serum, and is recommended to be applied before the Sheer Transformation which is also within the set.
The serum is packaged within a mini glass bottle, with an handy pump and one generous pump dispenses enough product to cover my entire face. It has a very subtle rosehip scent which disappears instantly after massaging it into my skin. It leaves my skin feeling so silky and smooth, and although I haven’t noticed any brightening or improvement to my skin with this sample, I’d imagine results would be seen with frequent use of the fulls size.
I already love the Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Creme so I was intrigued to try the Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Treatment within the Ole Henriksen Three Little Wonders Mini Gift Set to see how it would compare. Described as an overnight resurfacing treatment gel which is crafted with a 12 source alpha hydroxyl acid complex.
The treatment aims to target the multiple layers of the skin, working to refine fine lines, smooth wrinkles and minimise the appearance of pores and dark spots. Promising to instantly reduce redness and irritation, restoring calm to the skin whilst working overnight. The main difference between the Invigorating Night Treatment and Invigorating Night Creme is the consistency, as the former is a watery gel whilst the latter is a rich cream.
I actually think I prefer the Night Treatment to the Night Creme, as I feel it’s a little more intensive and it gives more noticeable results. When I apply the Night Treatment, I do get a little tingling sensation for the first minute or so, which I don’t experience with the cream.
I do prefer the gel-like consistency as it’s easier to absorb, and I find the scent to be nicer with the Invigorating Night Treatment, as I find the Invigorating Night Creme has quite a strong chemical scent. For the ultimate treatment, I’ve been layering both products with the creme under the treatment gel and it really does intensify the effects, but I only do this when my skin is particularly uneven and dry as it’s quite intensive for my sensitive skin.
The Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation is described as being a lightweight moisturiser which works to improve any discolouration, uneven skintone and help combat the effects of sun damage. It has an oil-free formula which claims to fade dark spots, freckles and other sun damage concerns whilst the cream instantly nourishes and evens the skin’s texture and tone. Fruit acids work within the formula to re-texturise the skin, while vitamin C stimulates collagen production for additional anti-ageing benefits. Finally, a dose of antioxidant vitamin E ensures that skin is well nourished.
I was surprised by how rich this moisturiser was, considering it’s described as being lightweight.. it’s perfectly nourishing for my dry skin, and works perfectly as a day moisturiser underneath my primer and makeup. I think this was the least impressive product from the Ole Henriksen Three Little Wonders Mini Gift Set in my opinion, but it certainly wasn’t a bad product – it just didn’t wow me like the other two did. I think this Ole Henriksen Three Little Wonders Mini Gift Set would make for the perfect gift idea for a skincare addict, and it is suitable for all skin types as they treat so many different skin concerns.
