NARS One Shocking Moment Cheek Studio Palette

NARS are my absolute favourite makeup brand, and I always look forward to their new collections and collaborations and I think their newest collaboration with Steven Klein might be my favourite so far. There are 23 different pieces within the NARS Steven Klein Fantascene Collection, and I couldn’t help myself from purchasing a few items but I think the whole collection is stunning. Today I have the NARS One Shocking Moment Cheek Studio Palette to show you..

My favourite standout item from the new collection has to be the NARS One Shocking Moment Cheek Studio Palette which is £49, and contains so much product which makes it incredible value and impossible to resist if like me, you love NARS.

The NARS One Shocking Moment Cheek Studio Palette itself is a really great size, as the pans of product are all very generous. The packaging is incredibly sturdy with a sizable mirror within the lid, and on the lid there is a rather striking Steven Klein photograph which I love as it’s so unlike anything else in my collection.

The palette includes the following products; Paloma Contour Blush Duo (3.5g each for the contour and for the highlighter), Laguna Bronzing Powder (8.5g), Robotic Blush (3.5g), Blasphemy Blush (3.5g), Luster Blush (3.5g) and Dolce Vita Blush (3.5g).

This NARS One Shocking Moment Cheek Studio Palette has such fantastic value.. the full size NARS Paloma Contour Blush Duo contains 8.2g of product, so the size within this palette is worth £25.60 alone, the Laguna is worth £27.50 as it’s a full size, and then the blushes are each worth £16.77 so the overall palette has a value of £120.18 which is absolutely amazing considering the palette is only £49 I think you’ll agree.

I love that you have every cheek product you need; highlight, contour, bronzer and blush, so this palette would be just perfect for taking away with you, especially as it also contains a mirror.

I have wanted one of the NARS Contour Blush Duo’s for such a long time, so I was really pleased that NARS chose to include one within this palette. The Paloma duo includes a matte pale cream highlight shade, and a slightly pinky toned brown; both of which are very creamy and smooth.

I can get away with using the highlight shade as my all over face powder as I’m so pale so it makes the palette even more versatile. Laguna is particularly more shimmery in this palette than the NARS Laguna in the NARS Virtual Domination Palette from last Christmas, which I’m a little confused about. It contains a really obvious gold shimmer, but it does have a lovely texture nonetheless.

Robotic is a bright blue toned pink which is matte, and contains subtle silver shimmers.

Blasphemy is a rosy pink semi-matte shade.

Luster is one of my favourite NARS Blush shades and is a gorgeous coral, with a golden sheen.

Dolce Vita is a dark almost berry toned pink with gold shimmer.

The pigmentation of every single product in this NARS One Shocking Moment Cheek Studio Palette is fantastic, and the blushes in particular are very pigmented and creamy, and are so much better than the blushes within the Virtual Domination Palette, which were very dusty and pale in comparison.

I really love the mixture of shades within this palette, although I do wish there were more matte blush shades, as it’s a bit of a shimmer overkill with Laguna, Robotic, Luster and Dolce Vita all containing shimmer but at least they’re all pretty shimmers, with no obnoxious chunky shimmer particles. I am so glad I bought this palette, it’s not only fantastic value but it’s also really great quality too.
