Neve Cosmetics ArtCircus Collection
When it comes to makeup, I’m pretty boring as I love my neutrals and I very rarely wear any bright colours but sometimes I like to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. I was surprised by a selection of items from the new Neve Cosmetics ArtCircus Collection, which includes a range of blushes, eyeshadows and lipstick liner duos. The new collection is inspired by the circus and is definitely for those who like colour within their makeup.
I have two of the blushes from the Neve Cosmetics ArtCircus Collection in Acrobat and Popcorn (£7.62 each), as well as two of their lipstick and lipliner duos in Storyteller and Applause (£5.44 each).
The two blushes within the Neve Cosmetics ArtCircus Collection are Mineral Blushes which are cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The blush is packaged within a large clear plastic pot with a sifter on the top to dispense the blush and the lid is red and yellow with stars to suit the circus theme of the collection.
The first shade I have is Acrobat which is described as being a warm pinky translucent shade with red undertones and fuchsia pink shimmers, whilst Popcorn is a warm velvety peach with hazel undertones. Now I have to be completely honest and hold my hands up and say I’d never wear either of these colours as blushes as they’re just a little bit too crazy for someone boring like me, but I’d definitely use Acrobat as an eyeshadow as it’s a gorgeous cranberry shade.
Now these DueBaci Lipstick and Liner shades are something I can get on board with. The Neve Cosmetics DueBaci Pencils within the Neve Cosmetics ArtCircus Collection contains two different ends; one end is a typical lipliner side, and then the other side is much fatter and is a lipstick, and each end is a different but complementary shade so you can choose to create an ombre style lip if you wish.
The Applause shade is described as a dark geranium pink for the liner and a neon coral pink for the lipstick, whilst the Storyteller shade is a fuchsia for the liner and a changing bordeaux for the lipstick. I think the description of Applause is perfect, but I think the description of the lipstick for Storyteller is a little off, as I’d describe it a shimmery berry shade.
The formula of the Neve Cosmetics ArtCircus Collection DueBaci pencils is lovely.. they’re super creamy and pigmented and these swatches are just one swipe of each end – they really are incredibly pigmented and smooth. The liners and lipsticks are completely matte, but they have a comfortable formula without being at all drying.
Storyteller is a matte berry which contains multicoloured shimmer particles which looks really pretty, and perfect for Autumn and Winter. I love how versatile the DueBaci pencils are as they’re so versatile as you can use each side singularly all over the lips on their own, or you mix them together or again you can create an ombre look and I think they’re amazing quality for only £5.44 each, and I would love to try more shades from the Neve Cosmetics DueBaci range.
