Natural Collection has been around for such a long time, and infact my very first mascara and eyeshadow that I ever owned was from Natural Collection which is a good 14 years ago now – gosh I feel old. I have to be honest, when I’m in Boots, I always overlook the Natural Collection stand but I used to love their products when I was younger so I was excited to try rediscovering Natural Collection with a few products to see what the quality was like, especially as everything within the range is just £1.99 each.
The Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks Powder Blushes are really pretty, and I already own a couple of shades including Peach Melba and Pink Cloud which is shown above. Pink Cloud is a pretty, soft pink which compliments any makeup look and is initially quite sheer, but it can be built up for a little more colour should you wish too.
The packaging is very plain and simple, and it’s not particularly robust so I wouldn’t recommend carrying it around in an handbag as it’d get damaged quite easily although you really can’t complain for only £1.99.
Next up is the Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Berry Sorbet, which is a shimmery red toned plum. The lipstick is quite creamy, and sheer on first application but you can apply a couple of extra layers to build up, but it does move around a fair bit if you do. I’m personally not a fan of shimmery lipsticks, but if you do, this might be a pretty autumnal option.
In all honesty, I wasn’t expecting very much from the Natural Collection Lash Length Mascara but it’s really surprised me. The brush has very small bristles, which can get to the base of your lashes easily and it does give great length to my lashes. It’s not particularly volumising, but it’s definitely lengthening and the brush is ideal for your bottom lashes due to the shape of the wand.
Lastly I have the Natural Collection Lip Lines in Plum, which is a dark brown shade rather than a plum with quite a creamy consistency. The pencil is very soft, and it does crumble quite easily and for some strange reason I found that my lips burnt a little and puffed up too, when I used this pencil so I’m guessing I must be allergic to one of the ingredients which is a shame as I really like the formula.
Here are the swatches of the blush, lipstick and liner.. Do you have any Natural Collection product recommendations?
