Laura Geller has featured on my blog quite a lot lately, but I’be become such a massive fan with their products. I bought the Laura Geller Flirty and Festive Set as part of my Feelunique Haul which I blogged about recently, as it was on sale for £36 instead of £48. The Laura Geller Flirty and Festive Gift Set contains three full size products; the Laura Geller Sugared Baked Eyeshadow in the shade Fresco, the Laura Geller Love Me Dew Lip Crayon in the shade Happiful, and the Laura Geller i-Care Waterproof Eyeliner in the shade Black.
The item in the Laura Geller Flirty and Festive Gift Set is the Baked Eyeshadow which sadly is pretty disappointing – you can barely see it in the swatch above, and that was at least four maybe five swatches, which is not what I’d expect from a £19 eyeshadow. It does perform better over primer, but only marginally so but luckily the other two products definitely make up for this one dud in the set.
Fresco is shimmery pinky brown shade which looks so pretty in the compact, but it just doesn’t translate to the lid and this is the first Laura Geller product which I haven’t loved so I guess it had to happen sometime.
The Lip Crayon £13 is amazingly pigmented, and I already have a couple of other shades. They’re insanely pigmented and creamy, and they glide across the lips. They have a shiny finish which is forgiving on any dry patches and lines, and Happiful is a super vibrant blue toned pink which reminds me of a slightly sheerer version of NARS Yu.
Happiful does leave a stain on the lips, and it’s very long wearing for a glossy lip crayon too.
Eyeliner is something I’ve worn daily since I was 14, so it takes a lot to impress me eyeliner wise, but this Laura Geller liner is really good. It’s a retractable pencil with a rounded nib, and the other end of the pencil houses a rubber smudging tool which is always handy.
This pencil ticks all of the boxes – it’s creamy, pigmented, smooth, long wearing and doesn’t fade. My favourite way to use this liner is to tightline my upper lashline as it’s so creamy it glides across the waterlines and it stays put too. This liner is worth £16 when bought individually, and I’d definitely like to try more shades from the range.
