Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Golden Goddess Baked Highlighter Review

The Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Goddess of Love Triple Baked Highlighters are one of my favourite lines that they do, alongside their eyeshadows and I own several of the Goddess of Love Highlighter shades. The newest shade in my collection is the I Heart Revolution Golden Goddess £4.99, which is shade that I put off purchasing for quite some time as I was worried it was much too warm in tone for my skintone, but decided to order it when Makeup Revolution had a 3 for 2 promotion on their whole range including the I Heart Revolution range.

The Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Goddess of Love Triple Baked Highlighters have a ridiculously long name, but I think they should get a lot more praise than they do.

The packaging is very obviously Makeup Revolution’s version of the Too Faced Sweetheart Blushes, with the highlighter being housed within a opalescent white and gold heart shaped box, made out of card.

When I owned just one shade, I really did appreciate the pretty packaging but now I own multiple shades, I’m not a fan of the bulky unnecessary packaging as it takes up a lot of room within my makeup storage.

I will have to depot them at some stage especially as the boxes have only the shade name on the back of the box so you have to pick each box up to see each shade, so it would have been better for the boxes to have the shade name on the front like the outer boxes do, or to be different colours like the blushes in the same range.

Golden Goddess is a bold, yellow toned highlighter with a buttery smooth formula like the other Goddess of Love Highlighters. The colour is very warm, but when I use a fan brush, I find that it looks better against my skintone than if I apply with a fluffy brush as it gives a more subtle look.

My favourite way to wear Golden Goddess though, is as a topper for eyeshadows as it transforms any eyeshadow. I think £4.99 is such an amazing price for highlighters of this quality, as they’re so smooth and finely milled and they give the most gorgeous glow to the skin.

If you’re new to Makeup Revolution, I would recommend the Goddess of Love Highlighters or their Eyeshadow Palettes as a starting point as I think you’d be really impressed…

Have you tried any of the I Heart Revolution Blushing Hearts or Goddess of Love Highlighters?
