Net-A-Porter is described as being the ‘world’s premier online luxury fashion destination’, and not only do they offer exquisite fashion pieces, they also have the most incredible beauty department I’ve ever seen on a website; they stock so many amazing highend beauty brands. I was very kindly gifted a stunningly packaged box of beauty treats which has to be one of the best gifts I’ve ever received, and you can actually purchase this very same box; the Net-A-Porter The Holiday Kit £89.
The box contains a fabulous mixture of skincare, haircare, bodycare and makeup, and I’ve been in my element trying everything out, and sampling brands I’ve never tried before.
The two products which instantly caught my eye within my Net-A-Porter Beauty Haul were the Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo and Oribe Repair & Restore Conditioner, which are full size and £46 each.
I’ve never tried anything from Oribe before, and if I’m completely honest, I really don’t get the hype with highend shampoo and conditioner as my hair loves the Herbal Essences Classic Silk ‘n Shine Shampoo and Conditioner which are under £4 so I didn’t think I’d be impressed by a £92 hair duo but I really couldn’t have been more wrong.
They boast impressive claims and are both formulated with healing Argan and Maracuja Oils, restoring Biotin and Caffeine and nourishing Shea Butter to promote growth, soften and minimize split ends.
Firstly, they smell incredible and leave my hair smelling incredible until I next wash it. It also leaves my hair feeling so silky and smooth, and better than any other shampoo or conditioner has before. I really didn’t want to love these as they’re so expensive but I really do, and now I want to try more Oribe products.
There was another hair product within my Net-A-Porter Beauty Haul; the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer which is a real cult favourite. This version is infused with 100% natural Neroli, Geranium, Lavender, Rose and Orange Oils to ‘invigorate the senses as it deeply conditions your locks’.
It’s a pre-shampoo conditioning treatment which improves elasticity, bounce and shine and this version smells really lovely. You can even leave it on overnight as an intensive treatment.
The Joya FoxGlove Roll-On Parfum is exclusive to Net-A-Porter.com, and is inspired by Central Park. It is a unisex fragrance which uses a blend of fresh white florals, jasmine, white cedar and honey.
It’s not really my kind of fragrance as it smells quite mature but I know it’s something my Mum would love so I’ll pass it on to her but I do really like the packaging, as it’s really pretty.
There was a selection of miniature skincare samples; Radical Anti-Aging Restorative Moisture Creme, Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial, Omorvicza Thermal Cleansing Balm, REN Instant Firming Beauty Shot, Lancer The Method Polish and ThisWorks In Transit Camera Close-Up.
I’ve not tried any of these products so I’m looking forward to having a pamper session very soon with these skincare treats. I am particularly looking forward to trying the Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial as I’ve heard so many amazing things.
In addition to the skincare samples, there is also a 111 Skin Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask which can be bought in packs of 5 for £85 which is super expensive, so I’m expecting big things.
The gel treatments have tissue-fine fibers that adhere to your skin without damaging it, allowing a deeper penetration of three key ingredients – Arbutin to brighten, Silk Amino Acids to condition and Centella Asiatica to stimulate collagen.
My favourite item from the box has to be the By Terry Baume De Rose Lip and Nail Balm, which is another miniature but it contains enough for me to have fallen in love with.
I’ve always thought the Baume de Rose is overhyped for what it is, but it really is a lovely balm which leaves my lips so intensively nourished and smooth. I would never use this balm on my nails as it feels like it’d be a big waste, but it’s the most perfect lip balm.
Aromatherapy Associates make the best aromatherapy oils, and this little Aromatherapy Associate The Star bauble for the Christmas Tree is a great way to try their oils before committing to a full size. I believe that this is actually last year’s Christmas design as it’s a different one this year, but it’s still definitely worth a try nonetheless.
Smith & Cult is one of the most hyped brands right now across blogs, but I haven’t tried anything myself personally so I was happy to see this gloss inside the box. The Smith & Cult Shining Lip Lacquer in the shade The Queen Is Dead is a pretty, shimmery pink gloss although it’s not really a lip lacquer as it’s quite sheer.
These glosses are £20 each, and there are ten different shades to choose from.
The last item in the box is a gorgeous one… the Burberry Fresh Glow Highlighting Luminous Pen £25, which is such a gorgeous, subtle dewy highlighter in a pen form which is so easy to apply and blend as the pencil is so small.
This shade is 01, and it’s a pale champagne shade which I imagine would suit all skintones. I love highlighters, and this has fast become one of my favourites as it can be worn quite sheerly or built up for a more intense glow.
I’d love to know if you’ve ever ordered from Net-A-Porter before?
