COLAB Luxe Shine Glossing Hair Fragrance

Last month when placing a Feel unique order, I was a couple of pounds under the threshold for free delivery so I decided to purchase something to qualify for free delivery as it’s better to have an extra product than pay for delivery right?! The product I decided to go for was the COLAB Luxe Shine Glossing Hair Fragrance, which is the newest release from Colab and I’ve not seen any blog coverage of it yet so I had no idea what to expect but I figured it was worth a try from the description.

COLAB Luxe Shine Glossing Hair Fragrance

The COLAB Luxe Shine Glossing Hair Fragrance is described as being a decadent hair finisher which is infused with a nourishing blend of precious oils, silk extracts and shimmery diamond dust and it claims to add shine as well as smoothing and illuminating the hair.

I have very dark brown hair which luckily is naturally very shiny so I don’t tend to use shine sprays but it was the hair fragrance aspect which appealed to me the most, as I love the Byredo Bal D’Afrique Hair Perfume but it’s an eye-wateringly expensive £37 for only 75ml so I was excited at the prospect of a £4.99 alternative which contained 200ml.

The fragrance of the Luxe Shine Glossing Hair fragrance contains notes of cashmere, bergamot and oud and it’s very strong, and rich. Every time I use the spray, it makes me cough as it’s so rich and cloying and the fragrance is so strong that it overpowers any perfume that I may be wearing.

I really like the shine that the spray gives my hair, and that it’s a lightweight dry spray which doesn’t weight my hair down but the scent is just way too overpowering for my liking and I don’t like my hair products to overpower any fragrance that I’m wearing.

I think this spray could be an option for the days where you don’t want to wear fragrance, but even then it’s such a strong and overpowering scent that it’s too over the top for day to day use in my opinion. I would love for Colab to release some other fragrances like they’ve done with their dry shampoo’s, but until then it’s a miss for me sadly.
