Glossybox January 2016
It’s time for the January Glossybox. I really would like time to slow down a little, as my thirties are whizzing towards me at an alarming rate and I’d quite like to enjoy the last of my twenties for as long as possible. Ramble over, and back to Glossybox. For the Glossybox January 2015 box, the theme is ‘the year of more’ where Glossybox are hoping to inspire us to get more from the year ahead.
Now I personally find that the January beauty boxes tend to be a little lacklustre and underwhelming but I think Glossybox have put together a pretty good box this month….
Firstly we have the Unani Dermo Defense Face Mask which is full size and worth £11.36. This mask is said to be suitable for those with sensitive skin, and is completely natural. It’s an herbal based mask which has two aims; to care for your skin and keep it protected, and to ensure your complexion remains hydrated and nourished.
It would appear that this is the old packaging, so I’m guessing Unani had a lot of old stock to unload, as it now comes in a pump bottle.
Next is a makeup item – the Teez Cosmetics Oasis Gem Lipstick which is worth £11.93. I’ve never heard of Teez Cosmetics before, but it would appear that they’re and American makeup brand.
I can’t find this shade or packaging on their website, so it might be a discontinued range but the shade is a bright coral based red with a matte finish. The packaging is a little crazy and garish, but it certainly stands out amongst my other lipsticks.
Then we have the Naobay Orange Juice Hand Cream 100ml worth £14 which is a full size product. Naobay has featured in Glossybox boxes before and to be completely honest, I’m not a fan of beauty boxes repeating brands frequently.
This hand cream promises to rejuvenate and moisturise the hands, and is infused with shea butter to hydrate the skin. It really does smell lovely, and it sinks into the skin quickly without leaving the hands feeling greasy or tacky.
Back to skincare, there is the Madara Cellular Repair Serum which is a deluxe sample size. This serum claims to dramatically boost the cellular renewal cycle to visibly improve the smoothness of the skin and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
It is completely natural and organic, as well as being cruelty free. It sounds like an impressive serum, and is packed with lots of skin-loving active ingredients which are all listed here.
The last but very lovely item in the box is a Glossybox Eyeshadow in the shade Glossy Mauve which is supposedly £7.10 and another full size. I’m never normally a fan when brands include a product from their own brand, as they’re not items you’d be able to purchase outside of this box anyway.
However this eyeshadow is an exception to the rule as it’s such a gorgeous shade. Glossy Mauve is a purple toned grey, with a shimmer finish which looks so pretty and multi-dimensional, and is definitely my favourite item from the whole box.
So they are all of the products inside the Glossybox January box.. I’d love to know which product is your favourite?
