Kiko Metallic Shine Eyeshadows

If you saw my Kiko Makeup Haul post, you’ll have seen that I went a little eyeshadow crazy – but what can I say?! I’m an eyeshadow addict and I just can’t help myself. Kiko had a sale on their website, and as part of my haul, I purchased two of the Kiko Metallic Shine Eyeshadows which were on offer for £3.40 each. I’m really worried that these might be limited edition, and perhaps on their way out so if you see them instore or you’re planning an online order, you really must get at least one as I’m smitten with them.

The Kiko Metallic Shine Eyeshadows are packaged within small, plastic pots with grey metallic lids. The packaging reminds me of the Clarins Ombre Matte Eyeshadows and infact, the formula does too.

Kiko describe the formula of their Metallic Shine Eyeshadows as having waxes and oils which strengthen the pearls and pigments in the eyeshadow, ensuring a long-lasting wear. The two shades which I bought are Charming Sage and Dynamic Taupe, but I am seriously kicking myself for not purchasing the other shades too as I absolutely love the formula and finish of these shadows.

Charming Sage is a gorgeous metallic khaki green with almost a subtle gold duochrome, and Dynamic Taupe is another duochrome effect shade with a silvery taupe shade and a brown shift. Both shades are stunning, and unlike any other drugstore shadows I’ve tried. They have a creamy consistency which feels a little moussey, and I’ve found the best way to apply them is with my fingertip and press the shadow onto my lids but they do apply with a brush too.

I am hoping Kiko aren’t planning on discontinuing these shadows as they’re just so lovely, but they only have five shades available and they were launched as part of their Rebel Romantic collection so I hope they’re not on their way out just yet as I definitely want the other three shades in the range. I love how both shades are so multidimensional that they can be worn alone, and give the appearance that you’ve used multiple shadows to create the look but it actually only took you a couple of seconds..
