Laura Geller Lips and Eyes

I discovered the Laura Geller brand last year, and I became a big fan very quickly so I was really happy to get three of their products as a Christmas gift. Laura Geller is an American beauty brand which used to only be available through QVC but now they’re available through lots of retailers such as Feel unique, Escentual and Debenhams which is fantastic as they’re much more accessible. I have loved everything I’ve tried from Laura Geller, as their products are all very high quality and well pigmented.

he three new Laura Geller products in my collection are; Laura Geller Iconic Baked Sculpting Lipstick in the shade Mulberry St £16, Laura Geller Baked Color Intense Shadow Duo in the shade Dolce/Raisin £19 and the Laura Geller Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liner in the shade Cabernet £14.

The Laura Geller Iconic Baked Sculpting Lipstick is available to purchase in twelve shades, and Mulberry St is a gorgeous, deep red shade which applies a little more vibrantly than it looks in the bullet. The Iconic Baked Sculpting Lipsticks feature artisan-baked pigments and rich moisturisers to saturate the lips with creamy, vibrant colour that feels weightless and lasts all day.

The packaging is really lovely, with matte black casing and a magnetic lid, and the lipstick features an almost snake skin effect design. The tip of the lipstick is quite unique in that it’s curved which I thought would be awkward to apply but it hugs the contours of your lips perfectly for a precise application.

The pigmentation of this lipstick is insane.. it really is saturated with colour, which almost looks like a liquid lipstick on the lips especially as it has a glossy finish. Mulberry St is long wearing at around six hours which is impressive for a non-matte lipstick, and it leaves behind a red stain to my lips that lingers until I remove it with a makeup remover. I am so impressed with the formula of this lipstick that I really want to purchase a couple of other shades; I’m currently eyeing up Lexington Avenue Coral and Soho Nude.

Next up is the Laura Geller Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liner, which is an highly pigmented and creamy lip liner. I’ve never tried a waterproof lip liner before so I was intrigued to try it. I have the shade Cabernet which is a slightly shimmery mauvey pink which isn’t something I’d have chosen myself but I’ve surprised myself by how much I like it.

I find the shimmery finish a little more flattering than a matte lip liner, and the shade is versatile as it works well with nudes, pinks and even some coral lipstick shades. In terms of longevity, Cabernet lasts for around seven hours when worn alone and it doesn’t transfer when eating/drinking so I’d agree with its waterproof claims. I think this lip liner would be ideal if you were going on holiday, and wanted a lip colour you could wear around the pool without having to worry about it transferring and making a mess.

The last of my Laura Geller Lips and Eyes trio is the Laura Geller Baked Color Intense Shadow Duo in the shade Dolce/Raisin. I have the Laura Geller The Wearables Color Story Palette which is impressively pigmented, but I also tried one of their Sugared Baked Eyeshadows in the shade Fresco which was disappointing so I didn’t expect very much from this eyeshadow duo. The Baked Color Intense Shadow Duo have impressive claims and ingredients;

I was blown away the first time I tried this eyeshadow duo as it’s so much better than the single eyeshadow I tried. Dolce/Raisin contains a light gold and chocolate brown, and both shades are very pretty and multidimensional with great pigmentation. They look gorgeous when worn alone, but they look beautiful when worn together. I really can’t believe the difference between this duo and the solo eyeshadow, and I’d really recommend trying one of the duos and skipping the solo shadows altogether.
