I have lusted after the Laura Mercier Ambre Vanillé Soufflé Body Crème ever since I got a sample tube in a Birchbox, and I knew I needed to have the full size in my life. The Laura Mercier Ambré Vanille Soufflé Body Crème is definitely a spendy product, and is without a doubt the most expensive body lotion in my collection but it’s my absolute favourite.
The Body Creme comes in a 300ml, large glass jar and costs £45 and I was tempted to purchase the fragrance from the collection but I’d read a few reviews which mentioned that the Body Crème’s scent lasted longer on the skin than the fragrance.
I really love the glass jar packaging, but I’m always worried I’m going to drop the jar and smash it. You do have to dip your fingers into the jar to scoop it out, to apply to the skin which doesn’t bother me but the consistency is too thick to work in a bottle with a pump bottle.
The Laura Mercier Ambre Vanillé Soufflé Body Crème is enriched with vitamins A, C and E derivatives, whilst Grape Seed and Rice Bran Oil condition the skin as well as Vanilla Extract and Honey offer soothing benefits. Sweet Almond and Hydrolyzed Rice Proteins, along with Pro-Vitamin B-5 provide moisture balance and protection.
The Laura Mercier Ambre Vanillé Soufflé Body Crème has a lovely thick consistency which massages into the skin quickly, without leaving any stickiness or greasiness on the skin which surprised me considering it’s so thick, but I can get dressed straight after applying it without having to wait around for it to dry.
The gorgeous scent really does linger, and it lingers longer than any other scented body cream I’ve tried and I can still smell it on my skin the next day which is just amazing. I do think £45 is slightly insane for a body cream, but they really don’t get much nicer than this one…
