Maybelline Color Sensational Blushed Nudes Lipsticks

Superdrug had an offer the other week where Maybelline was two products for £10 which is an amazing deal, and I took the oppurtunity to purchase some of the new Maybelline Spring releases which had recently launched.

Maybelline launched their The Buffs Collection back in January 2014 but I wasn’t tempted as the shades were all very brown toned nudes which don’t suit my complexion. However this Spring, Maybelline have launched the Maybelline Color Sensational Blushed Nudes Lipsticks.

Which is definitely my kind of collection as I love pinky toned lipsticks. I bought two of the lipsticks from the Blushed Nudes Collection, but there are four to choose from and each one is £6.99.

The two Maybelline Color Sensational Blushed Nudes Lipsticks I bought are Tip Top Tulle and Fairly Bare. Both lipsticks look quite shimmery in the bullet which intimidated me a little as I’m not usually a fan of shimmery lip products.

But luckily the shimmer isn’t too noticeable on the lips, but once the lipstick has worn away from the lips, it does leave behind quite a lot of shimmer which is something to bear in mind.

The packaging is the typical Color Sensational packaging, with a tinted plastic lid and silver casing which does feel quite cheap.

But I do like that Maybelline use colour coded stickers on the bottom of their Maybelline Color Sensational Blushed Nudes Lipsticks so you can see which shade is which if you keep your lipsticks in an acrylic lipstick organiser.

Tip Top Tulle is a medium pink, which reminds me of a brighter version of MAC Creme Cup and Fairly Bare is a beige toned nude shade really reminds me of MAC Hue. I love both shades as they’re such flattering shades of nude and they’re comfortable, and creamy to wear.

The formula of the Maybelline Color Sensational Blushed Nudes Lipsticks is similar to the MAC Cremesheen formula in that it’s creamy, with a glossy finish but it’s not particularly long wearing at around the two hour mark at the most.

I really don’t mind that these Blushed Nudes Lipsticks shades aren’t very long wearing as they’re so easy to apply, and wear and I find that they compliment virtually any makeup look so you should be able to find a shade which works for you from the Blushed Nudes Collection.
