Birchbox Love of Color Launch Collection

Birchbox have recently launched their very own in-house brand Love of Color over in the US, and it’s now made its way over to the UK. To coincide with the launch, they’ve created the Birchbox Love of Color Launch Collection which consists of two One & Done Eyeshadow Sticks and three Vibrant Matte Lipsticks. Love of Color is cruelty free, budget friendly brand which aims to follow trends and you can purchase the products directly from the Birchbox shop as a bundle for £25 or individually for £6.50.

The two One & Done Eyeshadow Sticks are available in Champagne Problems and Perfect Cents. Champagne Problems is a shimmery pale grey whereas Perfect Cents is a warm shimmery gold. The pigmentation of them is good and they’re relatively easy to blend.

The Vibrant Matte Lipsticks are available in Uncorked (a deep berry), Skinny Dip (a brown toned nude) and Trouble (a bold red) and the formula of the lipsticks is really creamy, with amazing pigmentation.

The formula of the eyeshadow sticks is pretty ordinary, but the formula of the lipsticks is a lot more impressive and if I had to recommend one or the other it would definitely be the Vibrant Matte Lipsticks as I wasn’t blown away by the eyeshadow sticks as much as I was with the three lipstick shades.

If these particular shades don’t take your fancy, Birchbox Love Of Color will be creating two trend based collections every year so they’re definitely a brand to watch with their coming collections, and see how they interpret new trends.

The US Birchbox have a lot more shades in their range so fingers crossed we get the same shades over here as they look very promising. I imagine Birchbox will be including these pencils within their forthcoming boxes which will be a great way to try them.
