Pur Minerals is a brand I’ve not seen mentioned before on many blogs, but I stumbled across the Pur Minerals Secret Crush Eyeshadow Palette on the Feel unique website and I just fell in love with it, especially as it was on sale for £19.20 instead of its full price of £24. Pur Minerals have recently changed their name to Pur Cosmetics and their products are all cruelty free, and contain no harsh chemical dyes, petroleum-based oils, fragrance or fillers, just pure mineral pigments and nourishing ingredients that all skin types can enjoy with a mix of plant-based and proprietary ingredients.
The packaging of the Pur Minerals Secret Crush Eyeshadow Palette is stunning.. with a rose gold, textured casing. The palette is just a little bit bigger than an iPhone 6, and bigger than the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palettes. The palette can be opened by pushing the black tab on the bottom, and there’s a mirror within the lid which stands up thanks to a little spring.
There are eight eyeshadows within the palette, which are 1.5 grams each, which is the same weight as a full size MAC Eyeshadow. The palette also contains an eyeshadow brush which is actually really nice, and works well at both packing shadow onto the lids and also blending them out.
I really liked the general rosy tone to the shadows in the palette, but that it contains a good mixture of shades which are mostly warm in tone and I felt like the shades looked different enough from the Naked 3 Palette to warrant a purchase and I’m so happy I bought it…
1. Whisper – an ivory matte which contains silver micro shimmer particles.
2. Lust – a pale cream matte.
3. Passion – a metallic rose gold shimmer.
4. Muse – a rich chocolate brown shimmer.
5. Infatuation – a shimmery golden brown.
6. Admirer – a taupey brown shimmer.
7. Rendezvous – a deep dark brown matte.
8. Rumor – a super black matte.
I am so impressed with the pigmentation of all eight shades in the Pur Minerals Secret Crush Eyeshadow Palette – they’re so pigmented and easy to blend, and with next to no fall out. I would honestly describe the quality of the shadows as being as good as Too Faced or Urban Decay eyeshadows (which are my favourites) and I can’t believe this palette is only £24 as it’s such good value.
I love the packaging so much.. it’s so robust, but nice and compact so it’s ideal for a makeup bag especially as it contains a brush which is actually usable. I can’t believe Pur Minerals/Pur Cosmetics isn’t raved about more – this palette is amazing and I love it.
