The Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks were one of my favourite lip product formulas after discovering them back in 2013 which I blogged about here. However Soap and Glory relaunched the range last year, and introduced much smaller sizes and prices, where they went from being 2.72 grams each and £8, to now being 1.5 grams and £3.50. The new relaunch includes some of the old shades as well as some additions, including some new matte shades and I bought four shades; Nudist, Pink-A-Boo, Technicoral and Pink Punch. The Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker 3D Gloss Sticks tubes are now colour coded to reflect the shade of the lip crayon inside which I really like, as they were just black before.
Another change to the Gloss Sticks is that they used to have a rounded tip and now they have an angled, typical lipstick slanted tip which is a lot more precise and easy to apply. The base of the Gloss Sticks twists to push the crayon up or down, and the new smaller size is really handy when you’re limited on space. The scent of the sticks hasn’t changed, and they still have their lovely vanilla scent which I loved with the original Gloss Sticks.
The shades as a whole are quite sheer, which hasn’t changed but there are a couple of bolder options within the range. I had Nudist in the original formula, and it’s the same shade with the new formula in that it’s a pretty, beige nude which doesn’t impart any colour to my lips but just perfects my natural lip colour.
Pink-a-Boo has bright pink packaging, but it’s actually like a slightly pinker version of Nudist when on the lips. Technicoral has bright orange packaging, but is a pinky coral shade and Pink Punch is the boldest with a bright fuchsia shade.
I find the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker 3D Gloss Sticks so easy to wear and they leave behind a subtle tint to the lips; especially Pink Punch. I find them to have a lovely, balmy consistency which comforts my lips and they wear for around two hours, with Pink Punch staying put a little longer at around three hours.
I love that the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker 3D Gloss Sticks are a very purse friendly £3.50 as it’s such an amazing, affordable price for such a fantastic formula and I love how plump they make my lips look, without the burning or tingling sensations that you get with their normal Sexy Mother Pucker Glosses.
