Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Concentrate

25th April 2016

I first came across the Deciem brand when I tried the Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex Hand Cream back in early last year and I absolutely love it, and have since repurchased it and got my Mum hooked on it too, and I’ve been dying to try more of their products ever since. I have awfully dry skin and I’m always on the hunt for products which help my lacklustre, dry skin. When it comes to skincare, I really enjoy using products which contain hyaluronic acid as it’s so effective at improving the skin’s hydration levels so I was really intrigued by the Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Concentrate. The Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Concentrate 240ml £28 is so unique to anything else I’ve ever tried and there’s a lot of science behind it so let me explain….

Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Concentrate

Deciem say;

“You may have heard of Hyaluronic Acid, the expensive hydrating active famed for holding 1,000 times its weight in water. Typically only available in very small pots to purchase for the face. Hand Chemistry is changing the industry, by offering this powerful moisture-sealing ingredient in a very large tub at an affordable price – so your whole body may reap the benefits. Due to an extremely high concentration of three different types and molecular weights of Hyaluronic acid, Hand Chemistry’s Hyaluronic Concentrate allows for actives to be easily absorbed into the skin for optimal results.

Our Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Concentrate formula contains a complex of five active technologies from marine and plant sources, which repairs dry skin and protects it from the elements. Hands and body are visibly transformed to a softer and more comfortable state thanks to the high moisturising and regenerating effects of a Pseudoalteromonas Algae Complex”.

I’m a really big fan of the Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Concentrate’s packaging as the gel is packaged within a clear plastic bottle which comes with a pump with a little hole on the underside of the pump with the end blocked off, instead of just having a hole at the end like you’d normally get with pump bottles, so you can cup your hand under the pump to catch the gel without any mess or fuss. I’m not entirely sure I explained that very well but it’s so easy to dispense with just one hand, and you don’t waste any product which is the main thing.

The consistency of the Concentrate is like a runny gel, which becomes even more watery as you begin to massage it into your skin which feels so incredibly cooling and soothing on the skin as it does leave the skin a little damp for a minute or so after you’ve massaged the gel in, but it’s not at all sticky so you can get dressed straight away without the gel leaving marks on your clothing as it feels just like water on the skin which I imagine will be amazing during the Summer, especially if you kept it in the fridge.

The skin on my face is really dry but normally my body isn’t very dry and I can get away with using body lotion maybe twice a week – bad I know, but for the last few weeks I’ve had a really stubborn dry patch on my chest due to an allergic reaction to a perfume which has been making me feel really self conscious as nothing was getting rid of the pesky dry patch.

I used this gel before bed, and by the morning it had almost completely disappeared which really wowed me as I’d tried so many different lotions and potions but the Hand Chemistry Hyaluronic Concentrate pretty much got rid of it in one application so it’s safe to say I’m smitten. It does a great job at hydrating my skin, and I love how lightweight it is; plus it works amazingly on the feet too with zero greasiness which is exactly what I need with wooden floors or I end up slipping all over the place..
