Glossybox May 2016 Unboxing & First Impressions

It’s time for the Glossybox May 2016 box, and in my opinion it’s the best box this month and beats both Birchbox and Lookfantastic’s box. The Glossybox box itself has a black and white city design which you can colour in should you wish to, and inside the box there’s a pink photo frame which you can use to take part in their #SelfieandtheCity giveaway to potentially win a trip to Berlin.

Kicking off with two full size makeup products which is always a winner in my opinion.. firstly the new Revlon Super Length Mascara worth £9.99. Subscribers were given the option to select which one out of the five mascaras they’d like and this is the one I’d have chosen if I’d had the chance and I’m looking forward to giving it a try.

Then we have the Absolute New York Velvet Lippie Buttery Lip Cream which I can’t find in the UK to give a price but I imagine this will be a hit with subscribers considering how popular matte lipsticks are right now.

Next is a box of three Hairon Zero Crease Hair Ties worth £3.99, which are the plastic old-telephone style cord hair ties which claim not to leave any creases. Sadly I can’t use these as I have super long hair and lots of it so these tiny coils won’t work but I’ll pass them onto someone who can use them.

The added extra in this month’s box is a very welcome packet of the Proper Corn Lightly Sea Salted Popcorn which I already love, and it’s a nice bonus in the box.

The last two items in the Glossybox May 2016 are a full size bottle of the Hawaiian Tropic Protective Dry Oil SPF15 worth £6 and the Bee Good Plump & Firm Moisturiser worth £7.05.

I would never use the Dry Oil as I’m ridiculously pale and need to use a SPF 50 as a minimum but again I’ll pass this onto someone who can get away with this low sun factor. I’ve tried quite a few Bee Good products so far and I’ve liked what I’ve tried so I’m sure this moisturiser will be just as nice and from first impressions, it’s quite rich which will ideal for my dry skin.

I think this month’s box is a real winner, and is packed with full sizes yet again! I wish more beauty boxes would follow suit and would include more full sized products like Glossybox, and I feel like Glossybox always get the balance spot on with makeup/skincare and haircare. I would love to know if you got anything different in your box, please tell me in the comments below…
