Soap and Glory are my favourite bodycare brand, and I’m always excited when they release new products to their already extensive lineup. The newest launch is the Soap and Glory Shower Jelly which has launched in two scents; Sugar Crush and Clean On Me and retail for £5.50 each for 250ml of product. The Soap and Glory Shower Jelly’s are described as being more wobbly than a shower gel and has a “jellyjuice texture which quickly melts on wet skin to make a luxe-y, sudsy lather”.
The Sugar Crush Soap and Glory Shower Jelly has a freshly squeezed sweet lime fragrance, and the jelly is a bright green thick gel when you squeeze it from the tube. The Sugar Crush scent is my favourite Soap and Glory fragrance that they do so I couldn’t wait to try this one in particular.
I’ve found the best way to apply the Jelly is onto a shower puff as it helps to quicken the lathering process up slightly, and it does lather up nicely but it does take a little more time than their Shower Gels but we’re talking a matter of seconds.
The Soap and Glory Shower Jelly in Original Pink fragrance is made from Rose and Bergamot and is a sweet, yet woody floral scent which I do like but I just love the Sweet Lime scent so much more but that’s just my personal choice. Both the Sugar Crush and Original Pink Shower Jelly’s lather really well, and they’re just as strongly scented as their Shower Gel’s.
I would say that the Shower Gel’s are a touch more hydrating than the Shower Jelly’s which might be down to the fact that they have a cream formula, but the Shower Jelly’s do still definitely hydrate and soften the skin. I think the Soap and Glory Shower Jelly’s will be absolutely perfect for the warmer months as they feel rather cooling on the skin, and they just feel fresher than a typical shower gel.
Once you’ve dried your skin post-shower, you can still smell the gorgeous scents on your skin for a good few hours which I love, especially if you layer up and use the matching body cream too. I do have to play devil’s advocate for a moment though as I think it’s strange that you only get 250ml for £5.50 when the Shower Gel’s contain 500ml for just £1 more at £6.50 but I still think the Shower Jelly’s will be a big hit, and I’d love to see them launch some more of their amazing fragrances in the Shower Jelly form.
