When it comes to washing my hair, I always love to use some sort of hair mask everytime I wash my hair which might not be great for my hair but I always use a clarifying shampoo once a week and it seems to work really well for my hair and I certainly notice a difference when I don’t use a mask. Through trial and error, I’ve found that oil-based hair masks work the best for my hair and my favourite until now is the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque but at £28.95 for 250ml, it’s definitely an expensive option especially when you have super long, and thick hair so I’ve been on the hunt for a cheaper alternative and I’ve finally found one which makes me very happy. My hair is fine in texture, but I have a lot of it so I have to use quite a lot of mask to thoroughly coat my hair so I really did need to find a cheaper mask which wouldn’t make me wince everytime I use it, and my new favourite mask is the TRESemme Oleo Radiance Creamy Moisturiser Mask. The TRESemme Oleo Radiance range is their newest range, and it consists of five different products.
Now to be completely honest, I’ve not had much luck with TRESemme products as a whole as I find they weigh my hair down, but I decided to give the TRESemme Oleo Radiance Creamy Moisturiser Mask a try as it was half price for £3.49 instead of £6.99 so I figured it was worth a shot as it sounded lovely and claimed to be lightweight.
The TRESemme Oleo Radiance Creamy Moisturiser Mask is enriched with argan and almond oils and claims to deeply penetrate the hair to nourish and smooth the hair. The mask’s texture is unlike any other hair mask I’ve tried in that it’s a very thick cream; so much so, you could tip the pot upside down and it wouldn’t move.
I scoop around a golfball sized amount to begin with, and apply more if my hair’s feeling particularly dry or I know I’m going to be using my straighteners and want a super sleek finish. The mask has the most incredible perfumed scent which I personally love, especially as it lingers in my hair until I next wash it but seeing as it’s such a strong scent, it might not please everyone.
The thick cream consistency really does coat the hair, and feels as if it’s genuinely penetrating my hair instead of just coating the outside and I like to leave it on for around ten minutes whilst I shave my legs. When I rinse my hair, it feels instantly softer and it’s easy to style too, with the oils helping to detangle my hair just like the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque.
Not only does the mask make my hair manageable and easy to style, it also leaves it feeling amazingly soft and smooth without being weighed down whatsoever; it really is lightweight on my fine hair.
I would definitely say that this mask gives me the same results as the Macadamia Masque except it’s nearly £22 cheaper which is insane. I can’t imagine I’ll ever purchase the Macadamia Masque knowing I can get the same results with the TRESemme Oleo Radiance Creamy Moisturiser Mask and I recently stocked up on a couple more whilst they’re on offer. I really need to try more from the TRESemme Oleo Radiance range as this mask is incredible, and I love it.
