I’ve raved about Tweezerman on my blog many times before, as they’re my absolute favourite Tweezer brand and I recommend them to everyone. I am part of the Tweezerman Ambassador Programme which I mentioned previously here, and I was very kindly sent the Tweezerman Spring and Summer Collection 2016 and I couldn’t help but share the collection with you as there are some little gems.
Tweezerman are obviously most known for their award winning tweezers but they have a really extensive range which I didn’t realise until I become part of their Ambassador Programme, and I love the summery theme of a few of their pieces.
The first product is the Tweezerman Easy Finish Facial Hair Removal Tool £15 which is described as being an innovative facial hair remover which quickly glides away unwanted hair. It has a small, slim and easy to use design with a coil spring which removes hair from root which slows regrowth. The ergonomic oval shape is designed to fit perfectly in one hand and glide smoothly to remove facial hair easily.
To remove hair from the face you simply move the device up or down around the facial contours to remove hair in one quick and easy motion. I have to be honest I was really dreading using this tool as I’m not very good with pain, but it’s actually a lot less painful than I imagined as it’s so quick that the pain only lasts less than a second and it is really effective at removing pesky peach fuzz.
The next item is the Moroccan Oasis Slant Tweezer £22.95 which is a full size pair of their tweezers, in a special Moroccan inspired design. There are a couple of items in this print within the collection, with mini and full size tweezers; both of which I love and use within my brow routine. The tweezers come with a little silicone cap to keep the ends protected, so they remain precise and sharp at all times.
Then we have the Birds of a Feather Mini Slant Tweezer £14.95 which have a gorgeous, bold pink and toucan printed design which is just perfect for Summer. The tweezers come with a handy little plastic tube to keep them in which is ideal for holding them within your handbag. I really love the full size and mini tweezers, as they’re both so effective at tweezing brow hairs but sometimes I find the mini size a little better at catching the tiniest of hairs.
The product I was most looking forward to trying is the new Tweezerman Curl and Go Eyelash Curler £19. I know it might sound ridiculous but I have a serious fear of using normal eyelash curlers ever since I saw the result of what happened to a friend when her boyfriend knocked her whilst curling her lashes, and she ripped out almost all of her top lashes. The vanity effects aside, her eye became so swollen and sore so I’ve been scared to use a pair ever since, however when I saw the new Curl and Go, it looked so much ‘safer’ than a typical lash curler.
The Curl & Go Eyelash Curler is the first travel friendly lash curler, with foldable plastic handles which provide maximum comfort and control whilst the thick silicone pad forms an intense curl without creasing the lashes. It folds into a nice, compact size which fits nicely in my makeup bag, and the handles give you so much grip and control compared to other lash curlers and I feel a lot less weary when using them, and I’ve really been enjoying the results of them.
The last item I have is the Tweezerman Mini Face Brush Contour Set £34.95 which contains everything you need for a contoured look. The set is packaged within a plastic pouch, with a Blending Sponge, Mini Contour Foundation Brush and Mini Pointed Foundation Brush. The Blending Sponge is a velvety soft, non-latex sponge which can be used damp or dry for blending liquid or cream products.
The Mini Pointed Foundation Brush is designed for gliding over the natural curves of the face for precise coverage and I think it works well under the eyes to blend concealer. The last item in the trio; the Mini Contour Foundation Brush has a thick, ellipse shape and is very densely packed which I think is perfect for contouring as it fits into the hollows of the cheeks to apply, and blend your contour out. I do think £34.95 is a little steep for this set as they’re mini brushes and work out at £11.65 each which is quite pricey, but they’re great quality and additions to my makeup tool collection.
