It’s Glossybox time, and for the month of June the theme is Beauty News and is all about discovery. When my June Glossybox 2016 arrived, it felt so heavy so I knew it was going to be a good box and I was definitely right with this summer themed beauty box with a few full sizes included which is always a winner in my book.
I am always asked which is my favourite beauty box, and for the £10 to £14 price range it has to be Glossybox as I feel like Glossybox put a lot more thought to the contents of their boxes and themes, and they always give us at least one full sized product and they don’t do repeats as often as the other boxes within this price range. Obviously it’s all down to choice, but I like that Glossybox really mix their boxes up with makeup, skincare, haircare etc whilst other boxes are very skincare centric.
Kicking off we have a sample sachet of the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner and whilst it is a sample size, it’s one you can purchase in Boots or Superdrug for £1.09. Aussie are one of my favourite haircare brands and I have a lot of love for the 3 Minute Miracle’s as they’re so affordable but they make such a massive difference to my hair in such a short time.
Then we have the Spa to You Konjac Sponge worth £6.99, which is a sponge that is made entirely from natural fibres and is more gentle than a scrub and leaves the skin feeling unbelievable soft. Konjac sponges are weird as they’re solid like a rock when they’re dry but when they’re wet, they’re the softest and most fluffiest sponge you’ll ever try.
Then we have a 15ml sample size of the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser worth £7.20. All of the boxes this month will feature a sample of an Origins product but the product will vary box to box, and when I saw the sneak peek of what was included within the box, I had crossed my fingers I wouldn’t get the GinZing sample as I have the full size but I did but not to worry as I love it and it’ll be handy to have a small travel-friendly size.
Next is a full size Emité Makeup Lip & Cheek Tint worth £12.50, and is similar to Benefit BeneTint except it has a slightly thicker gel-like formula and a sponge tip applicator rather than a brush which I think will be easier to apply, and the colour is a suit-all berry red shade.
The last two items in the June Glossybox 2016 are perfect for a Summer themed box – an SPF and an aftersure. The SPF is the Ladival Sun Protection Spray SPF15 worth £19.99 and the aftersun is the De Bruyere After Sun Monoi 50ml worth £9.48.
I have so much buzz about the Ladival brand lately but I’ve never tried any of their products and sadly I won’t be able to try this one as my skin is far too pale to get away with using anything less than an SPF50 but Rob will be able to use it as he’s nowhere near as fair as I am, but it sounds like an impressive sun protection especially as it’s suitable for sensitive skin and is water resistant.
The aftersun is something I’ll certainly be able to use as it smells divine. It is enriched with Monoi (gardenia petals soaked in coconut oil), and when I first tried it, I rubbed some on to the back of my hand and forgot about it, but throughout the day I kept catching a gorgeous scent and it was the cream on my hand so I’m looking forward to smothering my skin in this lotion post sun exposure.
I’d love to know what you got in your box if you got anything different to mine, and what you thought to this month’s box?
