Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Rich Cream

It’s a pretty bold statement, but the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Serum is my favourite serum of all time, and after being so impressed by its hydrating powers, I knew I had to try other products from the Aqualia Thermal range. I received a sample of the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Light Cream in a beauty box and I really liked it, but my dry and dehydrated skin needed a little more nourishment so I purchased the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Rich Cream as part of one of the frequent Feelunique Skincare events as it had a third off. The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Rich Cream is designed for those with sensitive dry skin, and it claims to hydrate, soothe and fortify dry skin for upto 48 hours.

The Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Rich Cream contains Activ Hyaluronine, which is a combination of hyaluronic acid and lipidure which is proven to infuse lasting moisture. Activ Hyaluronine is micro-encapsulated and delivered as part of a continuous system of hydration.

The cream has a creamy texture due it containing Vichy Thermal Spa Water which instantly cools irritation and tightness, and it melts into the skin without leaving behind any residue, greasiness or stickiness. The cream is completely paraben free and is non-comedogenic which is reassuring for sensitive skin like mine.

The cream has a thick consistency which is relatively lightweight which melts into the skin quickly. I like to use this as my evening moisturiser as it’s so soothing and nourishing, but it does work nicely during the day too as a base for my makeup.

The cream has a lovely fresh and almost aquatic smell just like the serum from the same range, which feels rather refreshing. When my skin is feeling tight or uncomfortable, I apply this cream and it has an instant effect at reducing any redness or discomfort and it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth.

Most importantly, the  Dynamic Hydration Rich Cream acts like a drink for my skin replenishing any lost moisture, and keeps my skin hydrated and plump. When my skin is feeling particularly dry and uncomfortable, I like to apply a generous layer and allow it to sit on my skin for a couple of hours like a mask until it’s thoroughly absorbed and it leaves my skin feeling amazing. I have absolutely no qualms about this moisturiser.. it really does tick all of the boxes, and it makes my skin very happy.
