The Body Shop recently launched their new Pinita Colada Collection which really excited me as I love anything coconut scented so I knew I was going to love the range and I went ahead and ordered The Body Shop Pinita Colada Fresh Body Sorbet £8 as part of my recent order and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. I’ve tried a couple of different The Body Shop Body Sorbets and I love them as they’re soothing and moisturising on the skin so I figured I’d love the new The Body Shop Pinita Colada Fresh Body Sorbet as I anticipated it’d be the same divine Sorbet formula with the new Pinita Colada fragrance.
The The Body Shop Pinita Colada Fresh Body Sorbet is made with pineapple and coconut extracts from the Caribbean which is just so fitting for a summer collection, and I love the white colour of the Sorbet as it looks like a tube of delicious Pina Colada. The Body Shop Pinita Colada Fresh Body Sorbet comes packaged within a squeezy plastic bottle which makes application easy as you can squeeze it directly onto the skin and then massage it in. The Pinita Colada scent is absolutely amazing, and really authentic however the scent is the only thing I like about the Pinita Colada Fresh Body Sorbet.
As I mentioned above, I have tried two other scents of the Body Sorbet formula; the Mango scent and the Satsuma scent and I loved the formula but the formula of the Pinita Colada Fresh Body Sorbet is so different to the other Body Sorbets. The sorbet absorbs quickly into the skin which I like but it doesn’t feel like it ever actually dries and it feels very sticky, which doesn’t go away and I’m left wanting to shower immediately as my skin feels so suffocated by the stickiness.
I must have tried the sorbet a good six separate times, but every single time I tried it, it had the same horrible stickiness and I even got Rob to try it for me to make sure I wasn’t going insane and he had the same opinion.
I don’t know why this particular scent is so sticky as the other scents I’ve tried have been lovely and lightweight but I just couldn’t recommend this particular Body Sorbet as it’s just unpleasant in my opinion but I do love the scent so I’m going to purchase a couple of the other products within the range and cross my fingers they’re a lot better than this.
