Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Eau de Parfum
Dolce & Gabbana’s Dolce is a fragrance I’ve seen feature on so many blogs and videos but I’d never tried it until recently as I’d wrongly dismissed it as being too floral for my liking but I’m so pleased I finally tried it as I love it so much. The Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Eau de Parfum £65 launched back in early 2014 and there have already been a couple of reincarnations of the scent since its launch due to its popularity, and it’s easy to see why it’s so well loved as it’s such a beautiful, wearable fragrance which can be worn both morning and night.
It contains floral notes of papaya flower, water lily, narcissus and amaryllis which are softened and slightly sweetened by both musk and cashmere. I love the idea behind the Dolce fragrance as it is said to represent an emotional and sensual journey through Sicily, which is the origin and inspiration of the fashion duo.
It’s impossible not to love the presentation of the bottle, with a dainty black bow around the neck and a cream and pink resin flower on the lid. When it comes to fragrance, I usually prefer spicy and woodier scents but there’s just something so beautiful about Dolce’s delicate sweetness which I find is ideal for the warmer temperatures as it doesn’t smell too sickly on the skin and it lasts well throughout the day too.
I find Dolce to be my go-to scent when I don’t know what perfume to wear and I want something which will go the distance. I would really like to try both Dolce Floral Drops and Dolce Rosa Excelsa versions as I imagine they’ll be equally stunning as the original, but I’m so glad I finally tried it as it’s a truly lovely fragrance which is so easy to wear.
