If you’re a beauty or health obsessive, the chance is you’ll know who Deliciously Ella is as she’s the blogger behind the super successful deliciouslyella.com. Alongside her blog, Ella has also created a very successful app and also runs regular cookery classes and super clubs as well as being a columnist for the Daily Telegraph. This August Neal’s Yard Remedies have collaborated with Ella to launch a new skincare collection as Ella inspires her readers to live the healthiest and happiest lives possible, which is something Neal’s Yard have been championing for the last 35 years.
The collection consists of just two products; the Neal’s Yard Deliciously Ella Rose, Lime and Cucumber Facial Wash and Moisturiser – both of which have been formulated with the highest quality natural ingredients. The Neal’s Yard Deliciously Ella Facial Wash and Moisturiser both contains organic rose and lime essential oils infused with cucumber water and antioxidant-rich blueberries and acai to enhance a gorgeous, glowing complexion.
Key Ingredients for the Neal’s Yard Deliciously Ella collaboration; Organic Lime Essential Oil – known for its astringent properties, helping to tone the skin as well as adding a zesty scent. Organic Rose Essential Oil – rose helps to balance, hydrate and nurture the skin while also calming the mind. Blueberry Oil – one of nature’s most potent antioxidants helping to protect from environmental pollution and damage caused by free radicals.
Cucumber Water – helps to moisturise the skin as well as providing refreshing and soothing benefits. Acai Fruit Oil – packed with antioxidants, vitamin C and essential fatty acids which work together to help fight the first signs of ageing. Turmeric – helps boost the skin’s natural radiance and helps to leave the skin more even toned, soft and supple.
Just like all Neal’s Yard Remedies‘ products, the Neal’s Yard Deliciously Ella packaging is just stunning with their trademark blue glass bottles complete with pump dispensers for fuss-free application and protection of the nutrients inside the products. The Facial Wash will be £16 whereas the Moisturiser will be £25, both of which will be 100ml and I imagine they’ll be very popular considering how popular Neal’s Yard Remedies and Deliciously Ella are respectively.
However sadly, even though I love the concept, the nutrient rich formulas and pretty packaging, I’m just not a fan of the fragrance even though I really wish I was. I don’t like anything rose scented and both the moisturiser and face wash are strongly scented with rose, with a slight cucumber twist and to me it’s just not a pleasant combination.
If you love rose, I imagine you’ll love the fragrance but for me the smell is just too rosy for my liking even though the formulas are lovely, and the scent does linger and it’s very strong so I think they need to be smelt prior to purchasing just incase the very heavy fragrance puts you off.
What do you think of rose fragrances? Are you excited about the NYXxElla collaboration?
