I really hate feet and hate my feet being touched so I’m never brave enough to go for pedicures so I always do my own pedicures. Due to my weird foot phobia, I like using products which offer longlasting results and I’ve never had much luck with pumice stones or foot files as they tend to be just a quick fix and I’ve tried the Emjoi Micro Pedi Nano but the rollers go blunt so quickly so you have to replace them frequently which isn’t ideal so I’ve been on the hunt for an electronic foot file replacement. I decided upon the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File as I’ve always been happy with what I’ve tried from the brand.
The Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File is an handheld electronic device which features a roller head with diamond crystals to gently remove unwanted hard skin to leave the skin feeling silky smooth. What I particularly liked about the Express Pedi was that it can be used with three different rollers depending on how coarse you want them to be with the roller included in the packaging being a regular coarse roller but there is also an extra coarse roller and a soft touch roller so I like that you have the different roller options.
You could potentially use the Extra Coarse Roller or the Regular Coarse Roller to remove the majority of your dry skin, and then use the Soft Touch Roller as more of a maintenance roller to keep dry skin at bay. One of the most impressive features of the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File, is that it has a safety lock where the roller will become locked if too much pressure is applied to prevent any injuries which is very clever.
I really like the chunky handle of the file, and the size of the roller so you can cover large areas of skin quickly, with it taking less than a minute per foot and it doesn’t feel at all uncomfortable or tickly which is something I definitely appreciate as I’m ridiculously ticklish (ticklish foot hating weirdo over here).
The file comes complete with batteries so you can take it out of the packaging and get started in a matter of seconds and it’s incredibly easy to use and I’ve not noticed the roller becoming worn down in the last four or five weeks I’ve been using it so it’s a great investment for your feet especially if you like wearing sandals or slingbacks – nobody wants feet like Gollum….
