I’m always excited by Soap and Glory‘s new releases, especially when it’s from their makeup line so I was thrilled to get a sneak peek at their newest releases which I shared over on Instagram. Soap and Glory have always done their shimmer brick type blushes, but until now they haven’t done standard powder blushes which were definitely missing from their makeup range. Enter the new Soap and Glory Made You Blush Powder Blushes which are available in three different shades; Cheeky Pink, Rosy Chic and Twinkle Rose and they retail for £7 each which is pretty great value.
The Soap and Glory Made You Blush Powder Blushes are described as having a velvety smooth formula with Air-Magic technology for a feather-light finish. The packaging is very sleek with the powder being housed within a circular plastic compact with a mirror within the lid, and a rounded brush hidden within the base.
The brush isn’t the best brush in the world, but it definitely works if you don’t own other blusher brushes or you don’t want to carry around a separate brush with you to use with the blushes.
Cheeky Pink: a matte super bright pink which is bordering on being neon, with blue undertones.
Rosy Chic: a matte peachy nude.
Twinkle Rose: a matte bright pink with silver and gold shimmer particles.
The pigmentation of the three Soap and Glory Made You Blush Powder Blushes is just incredible; you really do need the tiniest of taps with your brush, and it’s quite easy to go overboard due to how intensely pigmented they are. On the flipside, as you only need a tiny amount of powder, they’re going to last you for a considerably long time.
I really hope Soap and Glory introduce more shades into the range as I find all three of these shades to be quite bold, especially Cheeky Pink and Twinkle Rose and I personally prefer a more muted blush but they’re all absolutely beautiful shades. My favourite from the three would have to be Rosy Chic as it’s so easy to wear, and it’s very flattering, and I have to be honest I do find Cheeky Pink to be a little intimidating as it’s just so bright but it looks so pretty on the skin.
My least favourite Soap and Glory Made You Blush Powder Blushes shade is Twinkle Rose, purely because I don’t like shimmery blushes but as far as shimmery blushes go, I think Twinkle Rose is one of the prettiest shimmery blushes I’ve ever seen especially as it contains both gold and silver shimmer particles which I’ve never seen in a blush before.
All three shades have a beautifully silky soft texture which is easy to blend, and longlasting on the skin which is amazing considering they’re just £7 each making them brilliant budget blushes.
I’d love to know which shade is your favourite from the new trio of blushes?
