Do you ever find yourself loving the formula of a mascara, but wishing the brush was a little different? I know this happens to me all the time especially with the Benefit They’re Real! Mascara as I love the formula, but I can’t stand the spiky brush. There is finally an answer to our mascara brush woes thanks to the L.A.B.2 Lash Out Loud Mascara Wands £5.50 from beautyMART. I’d looked into purchasing some disposable mascara wands to use with my mascaras but they rarely come in different styles within one box and usually contain 50-100 wands which is just ridiculously excessive for my needs as they’re targeted towards makeup artists who need to use a different wand for each client.
The L.A.B.2 Lash Out Loud Mascara Wands contains twelve mascara wands in four different styles which are each designed for different effects of the lashes; Lengthen, Volumize, Curl and Define and they allow you to use them in any of your existing mascaras. The wands themselves are made from silicone and are totally washable so you can reuse them, but they’re disposable if you don’t wish to wash them between uses and they can even be used for grooming your brows which is super handy. I really like that the box offers four different styles with three of each style so you can really experiment to see which brush style works best with your lashes.
Lengthen (coral): has a mixture of rounded spikes, and sharper spikes to encourage length.
Volumise (yellow): has lots of long sharp spiky bristles on the sides as well as the tip (similar to the brush on They’re Real Mascara).
Curl (pink): has lots of shorter spiked bristles with none on the tip.
Define (purple): has lots of shorter spiked bristles similar to the Curl wand except it has a ‘ball’ shape at the end with longer bristles for catching the outer, and smaller lashes.
I think this L.A.B.2 Lash Out Loud Mascara Wands is such a clever idea and I’ve really enjoyed testing each of the four designs with my favourite mascara formulas to see which works best with which wand.
I think my favourite wand would have to be the Lengthen wand as my lashes are tiny and need all the help they can get in the lengthening department, but I also really like to use the Curl wand for my lower lashes as the bristles are nice and small which are perfect for the tinier lashes. I love that I can use these wands again and again with thorough cleaning, and that they can be used for the brows too and I think £5.50 is such a reasonable price considering you’re getting twelve wands in total.
I’d love to know what your favourite mascara wand type is? Do you like the idea of the L.A.B.2 Lash Out Loud Mascara Wands?
