Maybelline Fantasy 24hr Color Tattoo

The Maybelline 24Hr Color Tattoo‘s are the best drugstore eyeshadow formula in my opinion so I always like to keep an eye open for any new shade additions especially as we rarely get the frequent new shades that the US gets. I was placing an online Superdrug order and taking advantage of a 3 for 2 offer they had on Maybelline and I happened to spot the Maybelline Fantasy 24hr Color Tattoo *here* which I’d never seen before so I did a quick Google search for swatches but I couldn’t see anything about a Fantasy shade so I decided to blind buy it and crossed my fingers that a) the shade actually existed and wasn’t a typo and b) I liked it.

When my Maybelline Fantasy 24hr Color Tattoo order arrived a couple of days later, I was very excited when I saw the Maybelline Fantasy 24hr Color Tattoo as the shade was gorgeous and after tweeting Maybelline, they confirmed that it’s a permanent shade which has launched this month which is exciting news but I’ve not seen it instore or on the Boots website yet, so snap one up on the Superdrug website if you want one.

When I got my hands on the Maybelline Fantasy 24hr Color Tattoo, I was initially worried that it was perhaps the shade On and On Bronze but renamed as the sticker on the lid was almost identical to that of On and On Bronze but I can confirm that they are different shades as I own them both. In the glass jar, Fantasy does look a little similar to On and On Bronze but it’s actually quite different as it’s a gorgeous neutral brown shimmer which is loaded with silver shimmer particles which really does look beautiful on the eyes.

It has a lovely, creamy and pigmented formula which is more pigmented and sparkly than the other UK Color Tattoo’s I own so I don’t know if Maybelline have reformulated their Color Tattoo’s or if this is just a one off great formula – this swatch is from circling my finger around the jar three times, it really is super pigmented.

I really do love Fantasy and the silver glitter make it quite multidimensional, but the only downside is that when it comes to removal, it does leave behind quite a bit of the silver shimmers but it’s worth the extra hassle with removal as it’s such a pretty shade and I’m pretty sure it’ll become one of their bestselling shades. I just cross my fingers that Maybelline launch more shades within the UK as they’re such fantastic eyeshadows and I love them.
