If I had to choose the question I am asked most about on social media and by email is “which beauty box is the best”, which is such a hard question especially as it boils down to what you personally prefer to receive in a beauty box; i.e makeup, skincare, haircare and full sizes or samples?! For me there are two beauty boxes which in my opinion are the best; Glossybox and the Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box depending on your budget, and I would wholeheartedly recommend both boxes above all other subscription services.
You will have already read my rave review of the Look Incredible August Deluxe Beauty Box which contained Too Faced, Clinique, Elemis, Benefit and Giorgio Armani (yes seriously) so I was very excited to see what was included within the Look Incredible September Deluxe Beauty Box.
If you’re new to the Look Incredible concept the Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box is £35 per month, and the fee includes shipping via Royal Mail Tracked to ensure safe delivery of your box. Every month you will receive a box of surprise products which include well loved classics as well as new releases. If you don’t want to commit to the Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box, they also do a regular Beauty Box which is a little cheaper at £18.99 but for me, the Deluxe option really is their best box but it’s down to preference and budget.
The first item in the box which caught my eye the minute I opened the lid is the Too Faced #TFNoFilter Selfie Powder Palette (worth £32) which is insane as the box is £35, so for £3 more you’re getting this palette and three other FULL SIZE highend beauty products.
When this palette launched I really wanted to try it but I was worried the hues were a little strong for my pale skintone so this is the perfect oppurtunity for me to try it and I can’t get my head around that this palette is in this month’s box. The powders supposedly contain light-fragmenting technology to brighten, bronze, and illuminate the skin with a yellow toned Sunrise powder, a bronze Totally Toasted powder and a lilac toned Moon River powder.
Amazingly the Look Incredible September Deluxe Beauty Box doesn’t just contain one Too Faced product – it contains two, and they’re both full sized. Next up we have the Too Faced Bulletproof 24 Hour Shadow Liner in the shade Ooh and Aaah (worth £19) which is a midnight black with a subtle silver shimmer.
I have been dying to try these shadow/liners from Too Faced but I didn’t know which shade to choose but this one is ideal as it’s a nice twist on the ordinary black liner, and the pencil is incredibly smooth and pigmented so it’d work amazingly well on the tightline and waterline as well as all over the lid. On the opposite end of the pencil there is a rounded sponge for blending the pencil which is really handy.
Then we have the Tarte LipSurgence Natural Matte Lip Stain in the shade Lucky (worth £18.50) which like the name suggests, is a lip crayon stain with a matte finish and Lucky is described as being a light pink. The Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Stains are one of their most popular products and I’ve never tried one of them so I’m very happy that I can now thanks to this box, and the shade is just perfect as I love nudey pink shades like these, and I like the twist up style of a lip crayon as it’s so convenient and you don’t have to worry about using a sharpener.
The last item in the Look Incredible September Deluxe Beauty Box is the bareMinerals Deep Cleansing Foam (worth £18) which is the only item in the box which I won’t use as cleansing foams and dry skin just don’t go together sadly. This cleansing foam claims to have a non-drying formula which is powered by bareMinerals ActiveSoil Complex which bursts into a rich lather when activated with water. The cleanser is formulated without parabens, synthetic fragrances and artificial oils, and can be used both morning and night.
The contents of this month’s box are valued at £87.50 which again is nearly three times the amount of the box’s cost which is amazing value especially as the box contains four full sized highend items. After August’s box, I really didn’t think it could be beaten but the Look Incredible September Deluxe Beauty Box beats last month for me as Too Faced are one of my absolute favourite beauty brands so I can’t wait to see what Look Incredible pull out of the bag for October as this box is going to take some beating…
