Urban Decay Razor Sharp Long-Wear Liquid Eyeliners
The Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Liner in Perversion was one of my all time favourite liquid eyeliners, so when I heard that Urban Decay were reformulating their liquid liner range I was a little apprehensive as a reformulation doesn’t always necessarily go very well but worries aside, I knew I had to try the brand new formulation. A brand new formula and name, the Urban Decay Razor Sharp Long-Wear Liquid Eyeliners now have a much more extensive shade range, as well as multiple finishes. The Urban Decay Razor Sharp Long-Wear Liquid Eyeliners are £16 each, and there are twenty shades in total with matte, sparkle, shimmer and duochrome finishes, and I have three of the twenty shades.
The Urban Decay Razor Sharp Long-Wear Liquid Eyeliners are beautifully packaged within gunmetal tubes, with colour coded metal lids which feature a criss cross engraved design. The gunmetal part of the eyeliner is the part which holds the eyeliner fluid, and the elongated coloured handles are the brush. I really do love the sleek metallic packaging as it feels rather luxurious, as higher end brands typically favour plastic packaging for liquid liners and these liners are only £16, compared to the likes of the Bobbi Brown, Chanel and Lancome eyeliners.
I’m a big fan of colour coded packaging like this, as it makes it super easy to see which shade is which without having to read individual shade names especially when you own multiple shades. Each of the eyeliners have a thin, narrow brush which is very easy to control and moves swiftly over the eyelid without any skipping, or tugging.
“Our water-resistant formula dries down quickly, provides long-lasting wear and won’t smudge. And the fine-tipped brush applicator lets you lay down sharp liquid lines—draw them super thin or thick and bold, or even spot-reapply with ease. Plus, Razor Sharp comes off easily with makeup remover for no-fuss removal (and no raccoon eyes!).”
Cuff: a metallic silver shimmer with silver micro-sparkle.
Push: a matte navy inky blue.
Goldrush: a sparkly gold foil.
The Urban Decay Razor Sharp Long-Wear Liquid Eyeliners have a quick drying formula which can be layered which I really like, as some liners can flake a little when trying to layer the liner but these liners don’t flake whatsoever. The three shades I have have three different finishes, and they’re equally pretty shades. Cuff has a sheer formula which might disappoint some, but it works well when layered over black liner as it’s not completely opaque and it can also be used in the inner corners for a brightening effect.
looks just like ink, but it does need to be built up for full opacity but I think it makes a nice alternative to my usual go-to black liner. Goldrush is my absolute favourite from the trio as it’s so unique to any other eyeliner I’ve tried, as it has a beautiful sparkle which reflects like gold foil, and I’ve never seen a gold eyeliner give a foil effect before and I think Goldrush is going to be the perfect liner over the festive period and I just love it so much.
Not only are the liners easy to apply, and build up they also impress in terms of longevity as they stay put all day long until I remove my makeup without any fading, crumbling or flaking so I know I can apply my liner in the morning and not have to worry about it transferring or smudging all over my face. I have already ordered the Perversion shade from the range as it’s the ultimate black liquid liner, and I can’t wait to try it as I know it’ll be equally fantastic.
