I absolutely love reading makeup storage posts, or watching makeup collection videos as I really like to see how people organise their makeup as I’m nosy but I also like to be inspired for storage ideas for my own collection. For around two thirds of my makeup, I store my makeup products within two Ikea ALEX 9 Drawer Units and I really like them for makeup storage but they’re not always ideal as you can’t see everything you have and I always make a conscious effort to rotate my makeup on at least a weekly basis to ensure I don’t neglect product.
I have three clear acrylic makeup cubes which I like to store my most reached for makeup products, items I’m trialling in order to write reviews and beauty tools etc. Muji acrylic storage is always super hyped within the beauty community but I’ve not had the best experiences with their acrylic storage. I own four sets of the two drawer boxes which are £14.95, which I think is pretty pricey for just two drawers and they’re not even that big, and three of my four sets have cracks within the acrylic and the drawers don’t slide very smoothly.
The four duo sets have set me back £59 in total and I wish I’d saved my money and opted for an acrylic cube instead as I already own two of them from different brands and I love them, but my newest acrylic cube is definitely my favourite.. I love it so much. Let me introduce you to the Organised Beauty 6 Tier Acrylic Makeup Cube..
The Organised Beauty 6 Tier Acrylic Makeup Cube is currently available to purchase on Amazon from Organised Beauty, and they’ll be stocking more exciting storage items within the coming months so I’m going to be keeping an eye out to see what else they come out with as I love this cube so much. The Organised Beauty 6 Tier Acrylic Makeup Cube is £129.99 but at the time of writing this post, it’s on offer for £79.99 which really is an amazing price for a high quality acrylic makeup storage cube especially one as big as this.
The cube has four large drawers which can be removed from the cube and on the left side there is a mini drawer which can be removed as well as a mini drawer above. The cube comes with a sturdy acrylic lid which you keep closed over the top of the cube, but by doing so, you won’t be able to use the incredible 32 piece makeup brush holder. I personally prefer to have the lid flipped over and on the back of the cube so I can stand products up in the mini drawer’s side, and use the brush holder but I like that you have the choice of either option.
One of my favourite things about the Organised Beauty 6 Tier Acrylic Makeup Cube, is how thick the acrylic is as it’s so well made and the drawers pull in and out so easily without jamming and getting stuck like my other acrylic cubes so I can easily pull the drawers out.
I think the brush holder makes this particular cube unique as I’ve never seen a brush holder like this within a cube and it’s such a genius thing to have as the holes vary in size so you can use it to store thin eyeliner brushes, all the way through to larger foundation brushes. I actually prefer to use the holder to store lipliners and eyeliners but you could even use it to store liquid lipsticks and lipliners if you wanted to, and you can remove the brush holder so you could use it on your dressing table and then use the space for extra storage so you have lots of options.
I cannot rave about the Organised Beauty 6 Tier Acrylic Makeup Cube enough, it really is a fantastic method of storing your makeup as you can see which products are in which drawer and I find myself much more likely to use products when I can see them like this compared to being tucked away in my ALEX drawers.
By looking on the Organised Beauty website, you can see some photos of products they have coming soon which has made me very excited as they’re going to be selling a spinning lipstick tower and all of their products come with free delivery which is a nice bonus too. I think this makeup cube would make for the most amazing Christmas present so it might be worth popping it on your Christmas list as I guarantee you’ll absolutely love it as I love mine so much – this post isn’t sponsored, I’m just so happy with my new makeup cube 😉
