Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder Review and Swatches

I’m going through a real highlighter obsession right now, and can’t help myself from adding new ones to my collection. I was placing an order on the Xtras website and I spotted the Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder and it looked stunning in the photo but I couldn’t find any reviews to see if it was any good so I just took a chance and ordered it as it was only £2.98 and the pattern reminded me of the MUA Undress Your Skin highlighters.

Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder

The Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighter is available in two shades, this shade which is just the highlighter shade and there is a Bronzing Highlighter which looks really pretty but I knew it would be too dark for my skintone.

The Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighter contains 12g of product with a powder formula which is shaped into a wave-like raised design within the pan. The MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighters feel quite rough to the touch, but the texture of this powder is a lot silkier and smooth and it feels a little more finely milled almost like the texture of a face powder rather than an highlighter.

The pigmentation of this powder is crazy which I really didn’t expect, as just one gentle swipe of the powder with your fingertip picks up a considerable amount of highlighter so I would really recommend going in very lightly with a brush as it’s just so pigmented so I tend to use my fan brush and just touch the bristles onto the powder, rather than swiping my brush across the powder.

I’ve never used such an intense powder highlighter before, but what makes the Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder so unique is that it doesn’t contain any obvious shimmer – it’s more of an intense metallic sheen, similar to that of a cream highlighter such as the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured formula yet this is a powder. I know the swatch doesn’t look very noticeable but that is because there isn’t any shimmer.. it’s just an incredible glow.

I honestly believe that even though this Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder looks similar to the likes of the MUA and Makeup Revolution highlighters, but it’s very unique and is the most intense highlighter I’ve ever tried with no glitter or shimmer in sight. I really didn’t expect very much from this highlighter at all, but it has surpassed all of my expectations and the finish it gives is almost on par with the MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinishes and I’m now desperate to get my hands on the Bronzing shade as it looks fantastic in the photo I linked above.

Have you ever tried anything from Technic before?
