Origins is such a super hyped skincare brand within the blogging community, but I’ve only ever tried a couple of their products which I’ve received in beauty boxes. I don’t know why I haven’t explored the brand more, especially as their products are so well loved but I guess I had no idea where to start as they have so many different product ranges to choose from.
One particular product which I’ve read many reviews on is the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer and I bought mine as part of a set alongside some sample sizes of their masks which I figured was the perfect oppurtunity to give some more of their products a try. The Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer is £24 and contains 50ml of product and is said to be suitable for those with dry, oily and normal skin types.
“This lightweight, oil-free, energising moisturiser instantly hydrates and revs up radiance. It’s fortified with legendary skin-boosters like Panax Ginseng and Coffee Bean. Lackluster-looking skin is rapidly refreshed and revitalised to create a healthy, vibrant glow.“
The Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer is packaged within an orange, translucent plastic pot with a white lid and the moisturizer itself has a cream-gel consistency with an oil-free formula which is extremely lightweight and refreshing for the skin. The cream has quite a strong, pleasant citrus scent which really helps to revitalise me in the mornings when I’m lacking the enthusiasm to get up and go.
Although the scent is quite strong for an moisturiser, I don’t find that it aggravates my sensitive skin in any way so don’t let the fragrance factor put you off. I really enjoy using this moisturiser but for my dry skin, it doesn’t offer the intense hit of hydration my skin needs during the colder months so it’s best suited for Spring and Summer when my skin isn’t ridiculously dry and dehydrated.
It really is a lovely moisturiser which works as a great base for my makeup, but if you have super dry skin like myself it might not be hydrating enough. I would recommend perhaps getting a sample from an Origins counter to try it for yourself as I’ve read a few people suffered breakouts after trying it but my acne prone skin hasn’t reacted at all and I’m going to be putting it aside ready for Spring.
Have you ever tried anything from Origins before? Have you tried the GinZing Moisturizer?
