My review of the Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder was one of my top five most popular posts from the month of December, and for good reason too. It’s a £3 highlighter which has totally blown me away, and a fair few people have gone on to purchase it on my recommendation and have also fallen in love with it. After being so wowed by the highlighter, I knew I had to buy the Technic Get Gorgeous Bronzing Highlighting Powder which like the name suggests, is a bronze shade and I bought mine from eBay for just £2.65 with free delivery and I knew I’d love it the minute it arrived as it’s equally beautiful.
The packaging is pretty plain with a black plastic circular base holding the pan of baked powder, and a clear plastic lid with the compact containing 12 grams of products just like the original shade. The powder has a raised, swirl-like effect which reminds me of the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighters except the texture of this powder is considerably smoother and silkier in comparison, as I find the MUA powder to feel a little rough and gritty.
I bought the Technic Get Gorgeous Bronzing Highlighting Powder knowing it’d never match my skintone as a ‘bronzing highlighter’ but I thought I could perhaps use it as an eyeshadow as the swatches online looked so pretty and £2.65 is such a great price for such a large amount of product.
Texture wise both highlighters are totally identical with a lovely soft finely milled consistency but the Technic Get Gorgeous Bronzing Highlighting Powder does contain shimmer particles whereas the Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder doesn’t.
The shimmer within this bronze shade is subtle and very pretty but it’s definitely there and one of the reasons I loved the original shade so much was because there wasn’t any shimmer. Shimmer issues aside, this is an amazing bronzer/highlighter for the price.. just look how pretty and reflective it is in the swatch above. If you have a deeper skintone than mine, you’d get away with wearing it on your cheeks but it makes for a stunning eyeshadow shade and I’m now eager to try more from Technic after loving both of their highlighters.
