IT Cosmetics have fast become one of my favourite makeup brands which is pretty good going considering I’d never tried any of their products until late last year. After loving the products I had tried, I decided I wanted to try their IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer as I was yet to try any of their base products. The IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer (has to be the longest named concealer in living history) is described by IT as being ‘your 8 hours of sleep in a tube’ and was developed with plastic surgeons. It is now their best-selling, award-winning, cult-favourite waterproof concealer which claims to deliver highly pigmented, long-lasting coverage that won’t crease or crack.
- #1 best-selling, award-winning concealer
- Full-coverage, anti-ageing, never creases
- Highly pigmented, covers everything
- Anti-ageing peptides, vitamins, antioxidants, hydrolysed collagen and hyaluronic acid
- Clinically shown to make your skin look younger!
I bought my concealer from QVC for £23.64 which included a full size dual-ended Concealer Brush which you can purchase alone for £20 on the QVC website making the concealer just £3.64. The directions for application are to warm a tiny amount with your fingers, and tap onto the skin and blend using the IT Cosmetics Concealer Brush and the concealer can even be used as a foundation. The IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer is only available in four shades which is a little strange for a concealer, but I opted for ‘Light’ which is supposedly for those with ultra fair complexions.
I knew I was taking a big risk when ordering the concealer online but what’s so amazing about QVC is that they offer a 30 day return period so if it did arrive and it didn’t match me, or it didn’t work for my skintone I could simply just return it with no fuss which is fantastic. I see a lot of people complain about QVC’s postage fees or slow delivery times (I wouldn’t say three working days is slow personally) but they are the only UK website that allows you to return makeup after you’ve tried it so to be it’s very much worth it especially with brands you can’t purchase from anywhere else in the UK such as Tarte and IT Cosmetics.
Concealer is such a personal product so I don’t necessarily find reviews helpful unless the blogger has the same skin type as me, however I would really recommend taking a look here on the Ulta website as they have a massive 2849 reviews so you can get a more rounded opinion from different age groups, skin types and skin tones which is what pushed me to make the purchase as they’re very complimentary. I would say however I am very impressed with the coverage of this concealer; I’ve never found a concealer to have this level of coverage before. The two swatches above were done with the tiniest amount of product but as you can see, I applied way too much product. You only need a pin head sized amount which will be enough for both eyes and I still find I have left over product which I then use to conceal blemishes and imperfections.
The shade is actually quite a good match for me too which I never expected. In an ideal world it’d be a little cooler in tone but I can definitely make it work for me but I do feel that IT Cosmetics need to extend the shade range as four shades just isn’t good enough for a concealer range as it excludes so many. I did eye roll a little when I read that this concealer could be used as a foundation but I actually completely agree as the coverage is so intense, and buildable that it will cover absolutely anything and you only need a tiny amount so this 8ml tube will last me for a very long time. I find that the concealer does dry down to a dewy/satin finish which I’m not a fan of for my concealer, but a little powder mattifies it completely and it doesn’t crease under my eyes too which really impressed me especially for such a full coverage concealer. Apart from the limited shade range, there really isn’t anything I can say that’s negative about this concealer… I didn’t expect it to work for my super dry skin, but it does and the many, many beauty awards prove it works for nearly everyone.
Have you ever tried the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer?
