It’s time for the Glossybox March 2017 box and this month’s box is based on the “P is for Prep” theme with products which will help preen and perfect your skin. Last month’s box has a sneak peek showing that every box this month would receive one of the Sleek Eye & Cheek Palettes, allowing subscribers to choose which they wanted. The card inside this month’s Glossybox reveals that next month there will be a ModelCo Contour Stick worth £8 which is suitable for “most skintones”. Back to this month’s box, I utilised the new multiple photo feature on Instagram to reveal the contents of the box but now I’m going to talk you through the products and my first impressions on those I’ve tried.
As I mentioned above, every box this month will receive one of four Sleek Eye & Cheek Palettes which have an RRP of £9.99, and I have the See You At Midnight Palette. I’m not particularly wowed about these palettes being in the boxes because they’re currently being sold in Poundland stores across the UK (I bought all four palettes for a total of £4) so they’re definitely not worth the £9.99 price tag in my opinion. The palettes each contain two Sleek powder blushes and four eyeshadows, and the See You At Midnight Palette contains the Sleek Antique Blush and Sleek Pomegranate Blush, and four eyeshadows from the Sleek Vintage Romance i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette. I do like that these palettes contain existing Sleek products but seeing as they’re £1 to purchase in Poundland stores nationwide, you could easily purchase the other three palettes to the one your receive in your box.
The next item in the box is the Oolution Eye Love Eye Contour Cream worth £30, and supposedly a full size. I’ve never heard of the Oolution brand before but this eye cream contains 100% naturally derived ingredients with over 65 active ingredients which is most impressive. This eye cream can be applied morning and night, and claims to reduce dark circles, bags and wrinkles so I’m looking forward to giving it a try as I have shockingly bad dark circles right now. Then we have a 30ml sample of the Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Hairtherapy Oil Miracle Brazil Nut Oil Pulp Treatment (what a long name!) which is suitable for all hair types, and claims to remove all impurities from the hair whilst detangling and improving manageability as well as protecting the hair against harmful UV rays. From the directions it sounds like it’s an hair mask which you apply and leave on the hair for 5-10 minutes before rinsing, and it really does smell amazing.
Next up is a full size of the Crabtree & Evelyn Somerset Meadow Hand Therapy worth £6. I love the Crabtree & Evelyn handcreams, they really are amazing with a lovely lightweight consistency and pretty scents. It’s a 25ml size which is super small but it’s perfect for throwing in your handbag because it’s so compact, and the scent is very springlike and fresh. The last item in the Glossybox March 2017 is a 20ml sample size of the ThisWorks In Transit Camera Close-Up Mask, Moisturiser and Primer In One. I have reviewed the full size previously here on my blog, but it’s a really great product which feels super hydrating on the skin. I think this is a decent size to be able to try the product, but my favourite way to use it is as a moisturiser as my skin is so dry but I like that it’s so versatile depending on your skin type.
I would love to know your thoughts on this month’s box? Did it wow you?
