Pixi Hello Rose Kit

Pixi have been around for over ten years but I feel that their popularity has soared over the last few years with the success of their highly coveted Pixi Glow Tonic. I’ve had a few Pixi makeup products within my collection over the years, but I’ve really been enjoying trying their newer releases in particular so I was excited by the launch of the Pixi Hello Rose Kit £20 which contains a trio of rose toned beauty enhancers and there’s a peach version too if you’re not a rose fan; the Pixi Hello Glow Kit. The Pixi Hello Rose Kit contains the Pixi Glow Booster Liquid Face Illuminator in the shade PinkPearl 12ml, the Pixi Beauty Blush Duo in Rose Gold 4.5g and the Pixi LipLift Max in Sheer Rose 1g.

The Pixi Glow Booster PinkPearl Liquid Face Illuminator has a thick cream consistency similar to a moisturiser which has a subtle rosy tint with a beautiful sheen. Some liquid illuminators can be a little too shimmery and end up leaving my skin looking like the tin man out of the Wizard of Oz but this is very subtle, and makes the skin look healthy and luminous without any obvious shimmer and it’s nice and moisturising on the skin too. I like either mixing the illuminator in with my moisturiser or primer, or wearing it alone on my skin on my foundation-free days for a subtle luminosity.

The Pixi Rose Gold Beauty Blush Duo is really beautiful with a split pan design featuring a blush on one half and an highlighter on the other. You can purchase the Pixi Beauty Blush Duo’s individually so if you enjoy this blush/highlighter duo within the kit, you can repurchase it at the full size in both Rose Gold and Peach Honey.

The blush looks quite shimmery in the pan but the shimmer doesn’t translate to the skin, instead it gives somewhat of a satin finish which looks incredibly pretty on the skin. The highlighter is my favourite part of the kit as it’s such a beautiful shimmery champagne shade which really compliments the blush within the duo, and both the blush and highlighter have a lovely soft texture which doesn’t emphasise any pores or uneven texture of the skin.

The final item within the Pixi Hello Rose Kit is the Pixi Sheer Rose LipLift Max which again can be purchased in the full size should you wish to. The Pixi LipLift Max formula is said to be a volume-maximumising lip treatment with a cooling sensation and glossy finish. It contains peptides to firm, hydrate and plump whilst aloe heals, jojoba moisturises and chamomile soothes with a fresh mint flavour.

The Sheer Rose shade is a browny nude shade which I wouldn’t normally choose as I prefer pinky nudes but because it’s a sheerer shade, I really like it. The gloss does give the lips quite a strong tingle initially but it does subside within around ten minutes, and it feels very soft and smooth on the lips without being at all sticky.

I’d love to know if you’ve ever tried any of the Pixi makeup range, and if you have any product recommendations?
