I have had terrible skin ever since I was a teenager and I naively thought I’d be able to say goodbye to my skin troubles as soon as I reached my twenties but even though I’m turning 30 this year (*gulp*), my skin continues to misbehave and cause me misery. I would have to say my skin has improved over the last twelve months as I’ve discovered my skin flares up with blemishes whenever I eat dairy products so my skin behaves a lot better whenever I eliminate dairy from my diet. I am also still plagued by hormonal breakouts which I know I’m never going to be able to stop completely, but I do like using products to help speed up their recovery time and make them look as minimal as possible and to shorten the scarring period post-breakout. My favourite skincare brand for blemish products is most definitely Vichy, with their Hyaluspot being my all time favourite blemish treatment as it actually works, doesn’t burn the skin and doesn’t dry my skin out leaving my blemishes looking dry and flaky (disgusting but true).
Over the last few months, my skin has got progressively worse so I’ve been on the lookout for new products to try which would hopefully help sort my skin issues out. Seeing as I’d had such good results from Vichy, I turned to their Normaderm range which was specifically created for adults with acne prone skin so their formulas are gentle and not as drying as teen focused blemish products would perhaps be. I opted for the Vichy Normaderm Night Detox as I really liked the idea of a product I could smother over my skin overnight to work its magic and I featured it within my Beauty Detox roundup not so long ago. The Vichy Normaderm Night Detox is described as being a night cream which targets excess sebum production during the night whilst also purifying the skin, and helping blemishes appear reduces, pores less visible and the complexion more radiant.
The Vichy Normaderm Night Detox has a moisturiser consistency which I apply to my blemish-prone areas on my chin and jawline and use my other night creams on the other areas of my skin. The cream is very effective at minimising existing blemishes and I have every faith that it’s helping potential breakouts too as my skin looks/feels a lot clearer in the mornings. Due to the Night Detox containing glycerin, it really does help to prevent blemishes from becoming dried out and a nightmare to conceal. I now use this every single night on my chin and jawline and I honestly do believe my blemishes have become smaller and less inflamed since using it and it doesn’t feel greasy or oily on my skin and nor does it sting my sensitive areas either. For me it’s my perfect night cream for my problem areas and I’m yet again very happy with another Vichy product, and I’m trying some other Vichy Normaderm products which I’ll report back on very soon.
Have you ever tried the Vichy Normaderm Night Detox?
