I really do love trying new beauty products, especially when they’re unique to anything I’ve seen or tried and the Bliss Glamour Gloves are exactly that. I’ve tried a few Bliss products thus far as they’re regularly featured within the #LFBeautyBox but Bliss started as a chain of spas and introduced their beauty range. Which is designed for those who aren’t able to attend one of their many spas enabling you to try their ‘powerful yet delightful products so you can capture those wonderful, transformational beauty and well-being spa benefits at home. The Bliss Glamour Gloves instantly piqued my interest as I like to take care of my hands, nails and cuticles and I’m always willing to try new products which can revolutionise my routine and the Bliss Glamour Gloves definitely sounded promising from reading their claims.
The Bliss Glamour Gloves are £39 and contain a pair of thick blue nylon gloves which feel surprisingly heavy within their box. The gloves aren’t just standard gloves as they’re lined with a self activating gel lining which is infused olive oil, grapeseed oil and Vitamin E and the gloves can be used upto 50 uses working out at 78 pence per wear. To use the gloves you simply put them on your clean/dry hands and leave them in place for 20 minute stints, and apply handcream once you’ve removed them.
I’ve heard of cotton gloves which you can wear after applying handcream, but I’ve never come across a pair of gloves that contain a softening, smoothing and hydrating lining which works its magic on your hands whilst wearing them. I don’t know if you could wear them for longer than the 20 minutes and wear them overnight for example, but I imagine it would only intensify the effects from prolonged wear.
Seeing as I’m nearly 6ft tall, I have pretty large hands so I was worried my hands wouldn’t fit the gloves as they do look quite narrow but they have a little stretch to them so you can bend your fingers and use your hands whilst wearing the gloves. You obviously won’t be able to use a touchscreen device whilst wearing them due to how thick the material is but you don’t have to necessarily sit still whilst wearing them which I really like.
I was a little cynical prior to trying the gloves as they sounded too good to be true, but I actually really like them and I like that I’m making myself have some social media free time whilst having a pamper session with these on my hands and doing a face mask. I do think £39 is quite pricey as an initial outlay, but the cost per use makes them a lot more reasonable especially as they’re so effective at softening, smoothing and hydrating the hands in only 20 minutes.
