Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Spring Summer

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Spring Summer

Everyone has a favourite fragrance brand and that brand for me is Viktor & Rolf, and I’ve been a little wax lyrical here on my blog about my love for Flowerbomb as it’s my signature scent. I already own and adore Flowerbomb and Flowerbomb Extreme, as well as Spicebomb but I’d never tried their Bonbon fragrance before. The Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Spring Summer fragrance is a limited edition launch which I couldn’t wait to try. Viktor & Rolf describe their new launch as;

“The Bonbon Collection welcomes a brand new fragrance to its family, softer but just as intense and delicious as Bon Bon and Bon Bon Couture. Fresh pink grapefruit, crystallized jasmin, and a hint of icing sugar all come together, gently wrapping themselves around a touch of caramel – Bonbon’s most famous and addictive ingredient for a gentler, sweeter experience.

A fragrant and luminous contrast, beautifully supported by woody undertones. The result being a perfect Spring/Summer fragrance; fresh, floral, light and luscious for an intense and pure moments treasure.

The bottle of the Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Spring Summer Eau de Toilette 50ml £58 is absolutely stunning, with the same beautiful glass bow design but with a much more muted design to the original. The original Bonbon has glossy dark pink glass, whereas this bottle has a matte finish with a dark pink centre which fades outwards. The more muted design compliments the lighter notes within the fragrance, and the bottle has the trademark Viktor & Rolf branded grenade pin around the neck like the entire Viktor & Rolf fragrance collection.

Due to it being an eau de toilette, it’s definitely a lighter scent which is ideal for the warmer months where heavier fragrances can be a little too cloying. The box describes it as being a ‘sparkling eau de toilette’ which couldn’t be a more perfect description as it reminds me of a citrus fruit punch with the grapefruit being the most prominent note, followed by orange blossom which are sweetened by the icing sugar accord. It’s such a fresh and fizzy fragrance which makes me want to try the original Bonbon even more, as this limited edition version is simply beautiful and I urge you to try it once passing a fragrance counter after the 26th of April where it launches nationwide, but if you can’t wait until then it’s a Selfridges exclusive.

Have you tried the original Viktor & Rolf Bonbon? Would you like to try the new Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Spring Summer?
