The Benefit POREfessional Pro Balm Primer is a silicone-based primer and does feel a little slimey upon application, but when applied to the skin, the ‘sliminess’ actually helps my foundation brush to glide across the skin and applies a lot smoother with POREfessional as a base. I do find that the silicone formula can be a little drying for my skin, so I tend to concentrate the application to mainly the centre of my face, where the pores are more prominent.
When I apply Benefit POREfessional Pro Balm Primer, it instantly makes my pores a lot less noticeable, and blurs any imperfections within seconds and I find that it helps foundation to glide over my dry patches, so it doesn’t cling as noticeably as it does when I don’t use this primer. Benefit’s POREfessional is such a hyped up primer, but I really do think it’s worthy of the hype as it’s such an effective pore minimising primer and it really does keep my makeup in place all day but I do need to use an intensive moisturiser in the evening after wearing it. One tiny downside is that I just wish that you got more product than you do as 22ml is quite a small amount compared to the 50ml you get with the Laura Mercier Primer and the 30ml with the Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Primer.
I’d love to know what your favourite face primer is?
