The minute I saw the Birchbox May 2017 box design, I instantly fell in love with the super Instagram-worthy marble and rose gold print. It’s definitely the prettiest box design I’ve seen for a beauty box and I’m sure I’m not alone. Considering the outside of this month’s Birchbox is so pretty, I had very high hopes for the contents with the theme being “It’s all in the details’…
First off we have the Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow which is full size and worth £14.49. There are two possible shades; Fifty Shades and Vanilla Frosting, and I got ‘Fifty Shades; which is a deep grey. It’s made from all natural ingredients and is suitable for sensitive eyes too.
Then we have a sample size of the Doucce Punk Volumizer Mascara but I don’t know how big the sample is as there’s no mention of the size on the tube whatsoever, but it’s no more than half the size of a full tube. The mascara has a massive natural bristle wand which clams to ‘add volume and thickness to mimic even your best set of falsies’ which is quite a bold claim so I’m looking forward to trying it out for myself.
Then there’s a 7.5ml sample of the Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator which claims to offer transformative brightening and smoothing effects in minimal time. It contains lactic acid and perfectly rounded aluminium oxide crystals gently whisk away dead skin cells. I really wish it was a bigger size as 7.5ml is such a tiny amount for a product like a face scrub but I’ll definitely give it a try.
The next product is a 50ml size of the Kueshi Shine & Volume Hair Mask. Kueshi has featured in previous Birchboxes but this is a nourishing hair treatment that contains strengthening rice protein, hydrating jojoba oil and moisturising shea butter to protect and add shine.
The last product in the Birchbox May 2017 box is a 22ml sample size of the Whish Firming Body Cream which promises to soften and protect the skin with a blend os organic shea butter, cocoa seed butter and green tea whilst firming and smoothing the skin. Whish is another brand which Birchbox have featured twice previously with January being the most recent.
I’d love to know what your thoughts are on the Birchbox May 2017 box?
