I have a bit of an obsessesion when it comes to trying new brow products. I don’t even know why as I’m very happy with current brow product arsenal with the Pixi Natural Brow Duo and the Soap and Glory Brow Archery being my two current favourite products for my brows. When I placed the order for my Makeup Revolution haul, I was £2 away from free delivery so I figured it would be better to buy a product for £2 rather than waste the money on delivery so I chose the Makeup Revolution Duo Brow Definer £2.50 without looking at reviews online so I had no idea if it was any good. The Makeup Revolution Duo Brow Definer is a relatively new release from the brand and is available in an unimpressive three shades which is awful in all honesty as three shades isn’t going to cover very many especially as they’re all relatively dark shades. I opted for Dark Brown, but there is also a Light Brown and Medium Brown too.
The Makeup Revolution Duo Brow Definer has a teardrop shaped brow pencil on one end and a spoolie on the other. The pencil is obviously inspired by the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer which is available in ten different shades and contains more product. I really like using brow pencils like this with a teardrop shaped pencil as it allows you to draw very fine hair like strokes within the brow to give the illusion of hair, or you can twist it onto its side for filling a greater area. The lead of the pencil isn’t too soft that it crumbles on contact with the skin, nor is it too hard that it feels like it’s scratching the skin either and it’s very quick and easy to use. Despite the poor shade range, this shade matches my brows perfectly as it’s a cool toned dark brown and it lasts well in the brows too without your brows disappearing the minute you touch your brows. In my opinion it’s well worth £2.50 if you can find a shade which matches your brows, and I really hope they extend the shade range soon.
