Everybody loves Soap and Glory as they’re such an amazing skincare and makeup brand which combine quirky packaging and product names with high quality formulas. The team that created Soap and Glory have now created a brand new cruelty free beauty brand; Soaper Duper which is available to purchase in selected Tesco stores as well as Tesco online, so you can stock up whilst doing your food shop which is always super handy.
“At Soaper Duper, we make the best naturally-derived bath and body products of the 21st century (so far as we know, anyway). We formulate with real ingredients, none of the usual suspects – no plastic microbeads, no parabens, no phthalates – and we sell them in big, basic, some recycled and some recyclable plastic packaging at enviably competitive prices (perfectly luxurious, but gloriously guilt-free).
We think it’s possible to do good business and do good at the same time, so we support WaterAid and Clean The World, to bring soap and water to communities who need it. We believe that soap can change everything.“
Soaper Duper currently have a range of 23 products which include Body Wash, Body Scrubs, Body Butter, Hand Cream and Hand Wash in a choice of five scents; Yuzu Fruit and Fig, Lemon, Tuberose, Ginger and Vanilla and Shea. The products are all relatively budget friendly and are priced between £5 and £10 so are a little more affordable than Soap and Glory, and the products all have a green colour scheme to them which complements their naturally derived ingredients.
The Soaper Duper products are all free from; parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oils, artificial colours, benzophenones, cocamide DEA, plastic microbeads, triclosan, MIT, cyclopentasiloxane, animal derivatives and PHMB.
Soaper Duper Yuzu Fruit & Fig Body Butter 300ml £10
Soaper Duper Deluxe Yuzu Fruit & Fig Body Wash 500ml £6.50
- 97% Naturally derived ingredients
- Super nourishing Shea and Cupuacu Butters
- Skin softening Sweet Almond Oil
- Antioxidant Vitamin E
The Soaper Duper Yuzu Fruit & Fig Body Butter also contains cocoa butter, cotton seed oil, peach kernel oil, sea buckthorn oil, rice bran oil, wheat germ oil, vitamin E, cupuacu butter, sweet almond oil, buriti oil, macadamia oil, yuzu extract, fig extract alongside the above ingredients. The consistency of the body butter is very thick and rich, and if you love the formula of the Soap and Glory Righteous Butter, you’ll love the Soaper Duper Body Butters as they’re equally rich and nourishing.
I personally prefer to use body butters in the cooler months as they don’t absorb as quickly as a typical body lotion, and I hate wearing anything too rich on warmer days as it can leave your skin feeling a little sticky, but Soaper Duper do have a selection of Body Lotions if you prefer a lighter formula during the summer like myself. If you do struggle with very dry skin, this body butter is going to leave your skin feeling very soft and smooth as it is so incredibly nourishing and the scent really lingers.
The Soaper Duper Deluxe Yuzu Fruit & Fig Body Wash also contains peppermint extract, yuzu extract, shea butter suds, soap bark suds, panthenol, glycerine, plant-derived surfactants, and is packaged within a very large bottle with a flip cap.
I really like large body wash bottles like these as they last for such a long time, but I really wish it had a pump like the Soap and Glory Body Washes as I find the large bottle to be so cumbersome especially in the shower as the consistency of the body wash is quite thin so it does pour out of the bottle quickly. I prefer to use a pump on large bottles as you have more control, and I end up using way too much body wash whenever I use this bottle which is the only small downside as it’s a really lovely body wash.
Soaper Duper Zesty Lemon Body Scrub 250ml £7.50
- 84% Naturally Derived Ingredients
- Exfoliating Coconut and Luffa Fruit Smoothers
- Nourishing Shea Butter Suds and Glycerin
- A Swizzle of Exotic Verbena and Real Orange
The Soaper Duper Zesty Lemon Body Scrub is my favourite product from the trio I have, and the one product I’d really recommend trying the most as I love it. I feel like the body wash and body butter are good formulas but they’re not particularly unique to other formulas I’ve tried, but this body scrub is definitely one of the best scrubs I’ve tried and it also contains plant-derived suds stuff, panthenol (pro-vitamin B), natural quillaja soap bark and hydrating aloe vera.
Firstly the scent of this scrub is truly divine and it has the most authentic lemon scent I’ve ever smelt with a bath/body product as it literally smells like freshly squeezed lemon juice which I adore, especially on a super hot day as it’s so refreshing and invigorating.
The scrub is unique to other scrubs I’ve tried as it begins to lather whilst I massage the exfoliative particles into my skin, which I’ve never experienced before and it feels as if the lather softens the skin whilst the scrub removes dead skin cells to leave the skin feeling and looking amazingly smooth. The exfoliative particles are relatively harsh but in a good way so they thoroughly exfoliate the skin, but they don’t leave my skin feeling like sandpaper after use. I cannot recommend this scrub enough, and I will be hunting out the other products from the range in the Zesty Lemon scent as it’s my favourite especially for Summer.
I’d love to know if you’ve tried anything from Soaper Duper?
