For the Glossybox July 2017 box, Glossybox have chosen the “Hello Summer” travel edit theme with travel friendly sizes, and summer appropriate products. The box this month is a pretty coral shade, with ‘Hello Summer’ in gold writing on the top. I always love it when Glossybox have limited edition design boxes, and I always like to reuse them so this is definitely a box I’ll reuse within my makeup collection as I love anything coral. I wasn’t a massive fan of the last two Glossybox edits, but this month is a really great box in my opinion and a good selection of products which match the box’s theme.
The best item in this month’s box in my opinion is the Spectrum Collections Small Fan Brush worth £4.99. I always apply my highlighter with a fan brush so I’m really happy to have another in my collection, especially when they’re as pretty as this with a pink wooden handle and blue/purple bristles. I have had a few Spectrum brushes within Glossybox’s and I’ve been really impressed with them, so I hope they choose to include even more over the coming months as they’re fantastic brushes.
Next up is a pack of two Papanga Spiral Hairbands worth £8 in the ‘big’ size. Spiral hairbands like these are supposedly good for the hair as they don’t leave bumps or kinks but I have so much hair that I don’t find them to be very effective as they really pull on my sensitive scalp. I’m not sure they’re worth £8 as they’re £1.69 to buy individually on the Papanga’s Amazon page but they’re handy for going swimming with as they’re made from plastic.
Then we have a 100ml size of the Natural World Argan Oil Moisture Rich Shampoo worth 59 pence. This shampoo is infused with precious certified organic Argan oil to moisturise, nourish and restore shine and softness and is free from parabens and phtalates. I do think they could have given us a full size of this shampoo as it’s a very budget brand with the 500ml full size being just £2.99. It doesn’t seem to have very much of a scent but I’ll still give it a try as I tend to enjoy oil infused haircare products.
Bellapierre has to be one of the most repeated brands in beauty boxes, but usually it’s their pigments so it’s refreshing to see something different from the brand feature in this month’s box. We got the full size Bellapierre Banana Powder worth £25. I already own the Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder which is actually considerably cheaper than this, so I will pass this onto someone else as you only need a tiny amount each application so it’ll last a lifetime. I love when Glossybox give us makeup products, please, please, please give us more makeup Glossybox 🙂
The final product within the Glossybox July 2017 box is a 100ml sample size of the MONUSpa First Defence Soothing After Sun worth £11. It’s suitable for all skin types and contains aloe vera, shea butter and vitamin E and is formulated to de-stress, calm and soothe the skin after sun exposure.
I would love to know your thoughts on the Glossybox July 2017 box? Which is your favourite item this month?
